I had folding mirrors on C63 so no reason an E class should not have them...!

I was looking at the MB Canada site and it isn't listed as a standard feature on the E63. It's standard on the C63!

WTF!?!?

The mirrors fold in on my 2012 E63 AMG, manually of course, but when I park on busy road I fold in the drivers mirror so it's less likely to get clipped. So you guys are saying the mirrors don't even manually fold on the 2014's? I don't really see why power folding mirrors are needed, no more than the headlight washers they did away with, I always thought those where kind of useless anyhow, the headlights get cleaned going through the carwash anyhow.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
We don't need that option since we have a lot more room here in North America unless you decide to pack into one of those cities like NYC, LA, or Chicago. For the rest of the world, you also don't need it unless you are at places like London or Tokyo, then such a function will be useful. Keep it simple--not having it means less stuff to break.

the mirrors fold in manually, and yes it was actually the only thing I wrote on my CSI survey that could make the car better (they asked). My 2009 M3 had them, and I used them quite a bit when I parked in the garage and in tight spaces. I thought maybe because of the lane change assist they couldnt auto fold in, but since the S has them that is obviously not the case. My partner has a 2012 CLS63 and his are the same as mine. However, his wifes C350 has power fold in mirrors. Oh well, its not a big deal but yeah if I lived in NYC, I wouldnt be happy, then again if I lived in NYC I probably wouldnt be driving much anyway

This doesn't make sense. 2012s had available power folding mirrors. I just looked at an interior photo of the 2014 and the button exists that folds the mirrors.

I can't figure out how to manulally fold them in. They appear to be hinged: is there a manual release or do I just need to push harder?

If you look at front drivers door open picture in this thread "2014 E-63 AMG 4MATIC S-Model Pics" thyere is no button for folding mirrors. This is US spec car.

In pictures of press release from MB, there is a button. I guess Europe got them but not North America... another questionable delete of an item on a 100 k + car that must cost 100$ to install at factory!

Do not agree... in winter driving here they put a lot of salt on the roads. After a couple of kilometers the headlights gets dirty and dont produce light outpout as intended. An headlight washer will give you back a lot of light output.

Another stupid move to delete something so simple and integrated in almost every car on the market in 2014, even entry level cars!! I have them on my Saab and love them, I had the on the C63 and loved them!! Come on MB!

Totally agree. Yet they think its important to make a car that steers itself. Sigh

Maybe that's why they removed headlight washer... the car has infrared vision so the driver does not need to see!

I checked on MB Canada website and they say that canadian market cars are equipped differnetly than US spec cars, including heated windshield washers, headlight washers, etc... Maybe in Canada it will be equiped with them (I sure hope so).

Person who asked how the mirrors fold, at least on my 2012 you just push on them going in and they fold inward. Not sure if the 2014's are the same, I'd think so. I guess with the washers on the headlights at least in my situation I don't need em because I live up north in the summers and in Fla in the winters, I can see with somebody who lived in winters with salted roads they would come in handy.

Just spoke to the dealer...he claims that it DOES come with power folding mirrors in Canada. He said the same thing as Kart...MB Canada website says Canadian cars are equipped differently than US cars.

They are also gone from the 2014 S-Class and I dont see them on the CLA.

Looks like Mercedes has just decided that they are useless.

I always thought that it was pointless to have them without the ability to activate them when you wanted. 10x windshield wash application does not count.

T'was buggin' me...

Coming back from dealer...

Power folding mirrors in canada (had an E550 and a E350 convert. In showroom and both had them so i'm assuming for E63)
No headlight washers...

I would have preferred oposite but...

What about those headlight wipers found on MB's in the 80's and 90's?

Maybe it has something to do with the new type of plastic they use over the headlights less salt sticks to it or something, must be a reasonable answer I'd think.
