kart125 - tint, clear bra, emblems, window trim, carbon wrap was $1150.
I think the carbon wrap accounted for about $300.

Thanks for quick reply! I have a roll of CF 3M in my garage (wanted to do roof on my C63) but ended up getting it done professionnally. I may try a piece by myself and if result is not good I will get it done. Did you do mirrors too?

Yes on the mirrors. I will see how well it holds up. I actually like the more "matte-like" finish than the factory cf. Also, the AMG guy told me that the factory carbon fiber discolors over time turning kind of greenish. He also said they have replaced a lot of it for customers when the clear coat cracks. Perhaps he was just telling me this since I wanted it and it was not available for 6 months. He is the one that sugggested the 3M wrap as an option and said many customers go this route. This seems to have been confirmed by the shop that did the work, as he showed me countless pictures of new vehicles he had done the 3M product on. I must admit, I felt a little squeamish about putting vinyl wrap on a 110k car, but, I certainly am not complaining about the looks so far!

Can you ask your guy if he knows any good body shops for this in NYC - I am getting night package and would like to do emblems in black.

Car looks stunning - almost went with Palladium, but getting Polar White (wify choice ).

So the tips are not connected like the CBS. It's indeed strange but I guess it saves the work of having to remove and attach the tips when replacing the exhaust system. Like Vdub had mentioned in another thread, the redesign should have nothing underneath the tips. I like how the areas around the exhaust tips are done on the new S63.

I like the idea of powder coating the exhaust tips. I think plasti-dip might also be able to handle the temperature even if they are attached.

By the way, did you peel off the plasti-dip off the black area around the "S" or did you leave it on? I wonder if plasti-dip would stick securely to that area.

Did the installer free hand the clear bra? I can't find a pattern yet.
