2013 CLS 10 Spoke on 2014 E63 AMG S Wagon

I currently own and love 2013 CLS 550 4matic but everyone on this forum knows that the happy guy with 400 HP can be a really happy guy with 577 HP. So the 2014 E63 AMG S wagon is on order.

I'd welcome assistance answering the following: Will the MB 10 spoke wheels (8.5"x19" front + 9.5"x19 rear) that I purchased as summer wheels for the CLS fit the 2014 E63? If so, I'll hang onto these and use as winter wheels.

What are the offsets? In my research, I found that nearly all factory wheels for the W218 will fit on the new E63.

I started this thread to discuss a similar concern.

The comparison between 2013 CLS 550 4matic and 2014 E63 AMG S is below. Data from bigwheels.net

I don't think this table has correct data - the tire and wheel sizes for the E63 are not what is on my car or in the manual.

Thank you for calling out erroneous sizing info. Best not to trust none OEM sources for this info.

I've been able to determine wheel size of my CLS summer rims but despite much "googling" have not been able to determine same data on E63 AMG S rims. The MB OEM code is 797 for the 19" AMG 10-Spoke Alloy. I've been unable to i.d. part number or wheel size specs.

2013 CLS 550 4Matic (19" 10 Spoke. Front Part#A218 401 0802 7X23) Wheel Size: 8.5 J x 19 ET 34.5
Rear Part#:A218 401 0902 7X23. Wheel Size: 9.5 J x 19 ET 48

Again, my question to the forum is will the 2013 CLS 550 4-matic wheels specified above fit the 2014 E63 AMG S.

Thanks to those following thread.

So 2014 E63S specs:

fronts: 19"x9" ET 37
rears: 19"x9.5" ET 52

Your specs for CLS550
front: 19x8.5 ET 34.5
rear: 19x9.5 ET 48

What that will do on an E63...

Fronts will tuck in 3mm more, but have 9mm more clearance inside between the wheel and suspension. (You are fine, might look less aggressive, but no issues with rubbing)

Rears will poke 4mm more and have 4mm more clearance. (These shouldn't be an issue either) They will fill our the wheel well better without rubbing.

Overall, you should be fine.

Thank you kindly 335X-ray. The less aggressive appearance is ok as I'll use them as winter wheels. The extra clearance perfect for Minnesota snow drifts.

I was told by the dealer that Mercedes Canada states this wheel will not fit the 2014 E63. There are some clearance issues. Apparently, not even all AMG 19" wheels will fit.

I am just passing on what I was told. I guess someone will have to actually try it to make sure.

Regards to all,

Wayne

I'm curious if anyone has found in their research if a 19" AMG 10 spoke wheel is offered and/or would fit on a W212/2013 E550? This topic appears to be very difficult to find a definitive answer to. Any help or info would be much appreciated.

Well, what are the specs of the stock wheels?

I'm not sure what the full specs are. I know they are the stock 18" AMG 5 spoke wheels that I purchased with the vehicle. I'm a new Mercedes-Benz owner, 12 days in, and I haven't found the resources yet to check/verify part numbers, specifications, check compatibility, etc.

I've done some searching on eBay, but it seems similar parts have different compatibility listed and part numbers that are different or are not Mercedes-Benz original part #s. If I could find some resources, perhaps I could shed my noob status....

I believe I need to know the MM specification(s) so I can tell if there will be enough clearance for the tire/rim, or to ensure there is not too much clearance where it won't look as good.

I'm the owner of the 19" 10 spoke OEM wheels for 2013 CLS550. I've been surprised too at readily accessible information on wheel specs, fitment and compatibility. One of those Google "time sucking worm holes" that one can get sucked into. The 19" 10 spoke OEM wheels are 100% genuine MB parts purchased from MB dealer with the 2013 CLS550. The part numbers and specs are:

2013 CLS 550 4Matic-19" 10 Spoke.
Front Part#A218 401 0802 7X23) Wheel Size: 8.5 J x 19 ET 34.5
Rear Part#:A218 401 0902 7X23. Wheel Size: 9.5 J x 19 ET 48

As for fitment onto the W212/2013 E550 I would recommend contacting your local dealer as start. My research indicated that the 19" 10 spoke wheels would fit onto the 2014 E63AMG S Wagon but learned otherwise by MB dealer upon test fitting. Now the AMG has different specifications than your 2013 E550 so that is not an indicator of compatibility onto your ride.

For storage reasons, I'm keen to move the 19" 10 spokes out of the garage. Let me know how I can be of assistance in addressing the fitment questions. You can private message me via the forum in you want to communicate directly via e-mail or phone.

Great info, thanks for the details and quick reply. I'll call the dealer to see what options I have. Those wheels are sweet and I haven't found many after market rims that look similar. I really want to stay with Mercedes OEM wheels, I just want to have something a little larger and with some more "flare". I have 31 pieces of flare....

I thought I would share the info I found in case someone else comes across this. The 19x9 E550 AMG 10-spoke wheel is offered as a MB OEM wheel:

Part #: 66031550
Price: $1,455 per wheel
Total: $6,397 (includes $30 freight charge to ship across the pond - these are not stocked in the states)

The cheapest after-market price I found is $975 per wheel. These prices do not include tires. I like these wheels, but not at this price. In hindsight, I should have researched this prior to purchase and negotiated discounts/terms during the sale. Will keep this in mind for my next Benz purchase.

Thanks again for the info/suggestions.

New, OEM are costly. I've exclusively purchased new OEM MB wheels. Did you learn anything about fitment of the 2013 CLS550 wheels on your W212? I'm asking $900 per wheel to include tire and OEM TPMS. Details below:

Selling like new 19" 10 spoke Mercedes Benz AMG Wheels and Tires set (2 front + 2 rear). Wheels are sized 8.5x19" front and 9.5x19" rear to fit 255/35R-19 front and 285/30R-19 rear tires. Mercedes Benz part #: A2184010802. Wheels and Tires purchased as summer set for 2013 MB CLS 550 which I recently traded in. Tires mounted and balanced on rims have 85% tread remaining and are Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position Tires with transferable Road Hazard Protection from Tire Rack. Wheels and Tires used on vehicle for single summer 2013 driving season and are in MINT++ condition. When not on vehicle they were stored in protective tire totes. Included are 4 Mercedes Benz OEM TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors_433Mhz) with part#:002 540 0217.

I'll check with the dealer tomorrow to see if those rims will fit. With a VIN and part #s, I can't imagine it would be that difficult to confirm. The parts associate I spoke with wouldn't confirm fitment on these rims and suggested I come up to discuss with a technician before I invested any money on wheels that may not have proper clearance.

I actually stumbled across a front and rear set for $600 per on an wholesale parts website. The condition was 'Like-New' so I'm waiting on them to confirm the condition and send some pics. Either way I'll get back to you / PM you to let you know.

Off topic question - I've seen 3 center cap designs that I like. The standard hood emblem with the blue 'Mercedes Benz' design around the outside, the Mercedes star on a standard gray/chrome background, and the Mercedes star on a black background. On a black car with those rims, which would you roll with?

I'd roll with the Mercedes star on a black background personally. When working out fitment with dealer....as a suggestion and to insure proper fitment, have them pull an identical size (as the CLS550) from a dealer vehicle for visual inspection. The best way to be sure. I have several other interested parties so I'll let you know if I move them.

Absolutely. Check out the attached images of the wheels /tires available. These images are of the actual wheels / tires. I've got a background in photo.
