'12 E63 Wagon
They arent jumping ship.
They just all have wagon envy.
I have 3 boys, so we have an e63 wagon PP as well as a Tundra Crewmax Platinum 4x4 for skiing, bike racing, beach trips, or any towing. It takes a beating, holds 5 ppl, their bikes and their mud, and holds its value stupidly well. It only gets 13mpg, but we probably drive it 3k miles a year.
The Z06 is for when Im alone

14 - E63
No one car can fill all needs - especially a premium specialized vehicle such as e63 - but how do you pull trigger on 100K car only put 130 miles on it, and then figure it not right? Thats why many of us have pickup truck's or SUV's as catch all back ups, even if you get good used one, its less than beating on selling brand new "premium" ride - good luck on finding one magic ride!

not get off subject but not sure if the GL63 is worth the $$$$, have a designo 550 now and it is pretty damn fast, the 60 time on the 63 is like 4.9 ish so not much quicker than the 550, visually they are the same car, just a different set of emblems and exhaust, inside we have designo so its just as good as the AMG if not better. So im not sure if its worth the money, cool car, but i'd say the 550 is the bargain compared to the 63. Just my $.02!

Same engine, M278 but different tune as you said (with MB warranty). Different suspension bits, wheels, body kit and comes with nearly every option as standard on the 550.

BIG cosmetic differences from the 450 to the 550....
550 looks 20x better, the differnces between the 450/550 are night and day, between engine, looks, brakes, interior details. Im saying the 63 isnt worth the money, i drove an ML63 way back and wasnt impressed, i felt that the GL550 that we have with the turbo couldve kept up with it! Personally i think the GL63 was a mistake, they dont make enough of them to begin with, and they already had the ML/G wagon for clients who wanted fast SUV's. Yes you can get 7 seats, but the 550 is already so good, especially with the designo, itd be hard to justify the extra $$$ to get the AMG which looks literally the same, with the exception of some badges. Yes it has more power, but if power is what your after get an E63 wagon! Like you have haha!

As off-roader, I love watching G/GL/Range Rover/ML/Cayennes ...c.r.e.e.p...over speed bumps. All SUV's for that matter. 5000# is sporty how again? X5M is fun, but feels like world's fastest bar stool.
Range Rover mired up to door handles in goo, slowly dragging itself out, climbing loose surface hill in huge rainstorm, that's what these things are for. Not Junior League staff cars. /rant

a maxed out 450 can come up to 89-90K , a maxed out 550 is about 10grand more according to mbusa build site
i think the brakes and suspension components are the same...didnt see where they differ...
the 63 isnt a needed item as you cant drive it like a e 63...but if u have the $$$ then why not...
right now im still sporting my gmc denali 2006...fits all 3 recaro prosport seats in the middle row....dont think the GL can do that

Here's another .... Loaded E63, everything except night styling. Matt Cashmere exterior black interior. MSRP $116K. Webster tune with plugs and filters. 2000 miles. BO sound system is outstanding. Car still has new car smell, is extremely fast and properly broken in.
This is a tough decision driven by the fact that I don't need another family hauler and I do need to purchase the new 911 turbo. PM for details.

Tough choice. Both cars are amazing. Since I have a Lambo for the weekends, the 911T will be my daily driver. It's easier to get in and out than the MP4, easier for the IRS to accept as a business expense, and my local P car dealer is ten minutes away vs an hour for the MP4.

The E63 is fast and fun to drive. I have the RR and S550 as the family haulers, so I figured I may as well get a two seater daily driver that is faster than just about everything on the road without mods and handles well. The MP4 will be in my stable in the future but for now I'm looking for a daily driver that won't be a hassle to service.
One thing that I've noticed about my E63, it gets almost the same amount of attention as my Lambo whenever it's parked. Many questions about the paint, speed and cost.

yes E63 gets a lot attention, i did not expect that! maybe its the white? What kind of bentley is your wife looking for??? Honestly if you hate getting attention, the bentley is one of the worst cars! The supersports is awesome, very fast and usable daily no doubt, such a comfortable but fast car! Before the supersports was a white speed which attracted a lot of attention as well! Bentleys are great products, have a couple hook ups in arizona if your looking to get one! Let me know what kind she wants!
