2011 e63 engine problem
can any one tell me were i stand i have an e63 on a 2011 got it from mercedes teeside in november took it in for a clean and health check for them to tell me it had an oil leak left car with them its now been 3 weeks and they phoned today to say there going to split my engine apart and replace the bottom end with a new one as mine has a crack on the side ?? i thought this cart be right the engine comes as one full unit built by one man with his name on it thats what you pay for ?? am i with in my rights to refuse this offer as only have around 4 to 5 months left then if any thing went wrong its out my pocket should i stand for a full replacment or just the bottom end

E63 ENGINE PROBLEM
THEY RANG TODAY SAYING THE INSIDE OF THE BLOCK IS CRACKED AND IS LEAKING OIL FROM THE SIDE BUT THE ONLY THING THEY CAN DO IS REPLACE THE BOTTOM END AT A COST OF 17000 POUNDS BUT ID OF THOUGHT THEY WOULD OF REPLACED THE FULL LOT NOT HALF AN ENGINE ??
