Number of E63S wagons produced
There seem to be quite a few 2014 E63S wagons listed at dealers. Does anyone know how many E63 wagons MB imports into the US each year?

In a Motor Trend head to head video a few months ago they said around 120. Evidently it is the smallest volume vehicle mercedes imports here.

Also, the 120 of 2012 and 2013 are world-wide numbers. I was under the impression that about 40 came in to the US out of 120 each year.
I also get the feeling that the 2014s have been significantly more popular, if only because they have been in the press a lot more (MT drivers car, etc).
According to my dealer, the cars are still order only. Every car on a lot required a consumer deposit. So if there are a bunch "on lots" it has to be because either:
1) they arent really in inventory. They are sold awaiting delivery.
2) there are more people ordering them and then changing their mind (I think all dealerships have to give back deposits in most states if the car has not yet been delivered).

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
All those listed ones are actually sold (or at least most) as they list them even when sold, not sure why that is, but if you look on auto trader or cars.com you will find a bunch of them although none are actually available if you check with the dealers. But yes, I think are selling a lot more of the newer wagons, there was a lot of pent up demand of people just waiting for the AWD, a lot of people did not know anything about the rwd ones and how good they really were. Had more people had the chance to get in one and drive it and more advertising, I'm sure the older ones would have sold a lot better.

Has anyone been able to find the number of 2014 E63S wagons imported into (or registered in) the US?

I'm currently shopping for an E63s wagon, and there are several new ones sitting on dealer lots that have been there ~90 days. I'm guessing the production numbers have been increasing.

When I was in the ordering process in 2014, I read an article specifically about the 2014 wagon That said there were 124 shipped for the North American market. I have occasionally looked on line, and I also got the impression they were everywhere. A Miami area dealer had 4 listed at one time, which is really hard to believe. My belief is that it is consistently in the 120 per year range. My dealer reported to me that it was 100 for 2015 in records to which he has access.

Would you happen remember where you read the article with the 2014 information? Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply. I believe it was in Motor Trend, but I saw similar statements in other journals. Google the model and it will be in one of the articles. I searched for the 2015 model but at the time only 2014 showed up in reviews. Timing was in spring 2014.
