wood trim fading
The burled walnut wood trim in my 2011 e63 has faded. Mercedes is willing to replace it under warranty but only with an exact replacement. Has anyone had any luck with getting a different color replacement?

IMO I'd be pleased as punch just to get a cosmetic fault on a nearly five year old car covered under warranty. Never mind the notion of wanting them to actually modify your car.

I actually like the look of the faded wood trim. I feel that it matches the interior of the vehicle better. Having said that. I love to modify a car. if I can get a different look - then why not?

Carbon Fiber does not match the vehicle interior colors. A light colored wood would be a good match. The console is in black plastic. Does the European version come in wood?

Mellowyellow, Your carbon fiber interior looks good, But right now I'm looking for a set of wood accents. Does anyone know if the back plastic consol can be had it wood? European maybe?
