Is it safe?

So many owners already. Or is a private dealership possibly in the mix here? The car currently resides at a dealership. Could two of the owners been dealerships or since "private" is indicated, is it actually four different individuals over just a few years?

Also the car has only had 3 owners.
I dont buy used cars but if I was a used car buyer and something about a car made me ask "is it safe?" then there is no way I would buy that car.
I guess you cant put a price on "peace of mind"
I would also run away as fast as I can.

What's making me ask "is it safe?" is the amount of owners the car has had. It appears to be in great shape and there's two months left on the factory warranty - so I'd have it extended...
But three owners so far... That's the only thing that bothers me..

Just make sure you have an ELW, whether thru MB or aftermarket. You don't want to be left holding the bag.

Why do people care about the # of owners so much, it doesn't always show that there is a problem with the car itself. This is a $100K car. Those who can afford such don't always keep them forever. 50% people that I know that buy new highline cars don't typically keep them more than 1-2 years.
Besides, if you really look at the history, this one looks like 2 real owners, not 4. Carfax can be misleading.
Get a PPI if you like the car.

1. Many people who buy expensive cars like this don't keep them for long.
2. I'm thinking it could possibly be two owners as well. Between maybe being registered by dealers or something. I don't know. It just isn't very clear to me. I can't say with confidence that three people have owned the car.
Why, exactly? There's two months left on the factory warranty and I'm getting an extended warranty. And I can afford repairs if and when something isn't covered. I THINK this may be a good opportunity to get into a nice AMG that's already lightly modified by Renntech (which is located a few miles away from me).
My intention with the car is to do a Stage 2 Weistec supercharger for 672 Horsepower and 662 ft-lb of torque. I do realize I'll need to build up the transmission and engine...

Why not just buy a 2012 up and do a tune on it? With the money you will spend doing a supercharger and potential problems it would make more sense just to get the TT engine with a 2012 up. Turbos are more efficient than superchargers and better on gas and you won't have to re-engineer the car.

1. What do you mean is it safe? if you are worried about it being abused and the cost of that abuse in the long run. The main areas of concern would be engine, tranny and rear end. doubt a whole lot, if that much damage could be inflicted at 25K miles. All these cars are going to be driven hard and that was taken into consideration when it was designed.
2. If you are buying the car from an authorized MB dealer and the car is not CPO'D you can not get the MB extended warranty.
3. The car has been modified and you are planning to add more, in most cases that would then void the warranty on the affected parts. This is true for both MB and third party warranty companies.
4. If like you say, you can afford to replace the parts not covered under warranty witch includes the above mentioned items then what are you worried about?
