One Week in - Wagon

This car is amazing. coming from a 4 generation M5 family it was quite a change to break the mold and get the AMG, but no M wagon and no AWD = Mercedes. This car is nothing short of spectacular. I am 500 miles in and haven't even pushed above the recommended 4500 and am overjoyed at the powerplant. The sound is intoxicating and cannot wait for full throttle. The transmission has show a bit of quirkiness starting out but that is fine, it has a lot of power to contend with. I could care less about the paddle shifters and the dual clutch transmission. I agree that the automatic in our '13 M5 is amazing, but these are big cruisers that we will run in comfort or sport 99% of the time. I love the technology of the car and the comfort is second to none. cant wait for the next 100K miles. I am sure there is a post out there but is there a quick sentence on how to engage parktronic.
Thanks

Parktronic: just drive up to something slowly in forward or reverse and once you get close enough it'll start showing how close you are to the object in the front central display on the dash, or the rear display in the ceiling near the ceiling lights. Once you're really close, it'll start beeping at you. To disable/reenable the feature, hit the "P>>>" button on the switchrow near your heated seats/hazard light button.

can't wait to get past a 1000 miles. the car flys under the radar except for the sinister looking DRLs (not sure I want to turn them off, they look too cool). it will be fun to scare a few 911s or M3s soon

Congrats on the new car. Hands down the sexiest, most bad **** wagon on the planet. You will be blown away after 1000 break-in is complete. Car is an absolute blast. Any BMW or Porsche, aside from the 2014+ 911 Turbo S that challenges you (straight-line) is delusional. ENJOY!!!

We have owned our E63S wagon since February and the strangest thing has happened: nobody has challenged us at a stoplight. When I drive my '95 Nissan 300ZX twin turbo, I get challenged quite frequently. Is the car that stealthy or has all the publicity made it known just how fast the car really is?

More likely the latter. The group that likes to challenge is usually quite informed on infos over cars like this. They are not going to pick a fight on a much bigger guy.
