C&D has the S8 5-60 @ 4.4 sec, and the new S63 5-60 @ 4.9sec. Standing 1/4 mile mile a similar gap.
In reality, doesn't the 8 line up against the E... in terms of size, price and luxury?
But. If you're referring to a model year 2103 being available in June of 2013, then no. Definitely not.

Is that really a 2014 E63? Look at the front end. The 2014 E63 should be below 4 seconds 0-60 as the 2014 E63S wagon is mid-3 seconds. If this is a 2014 E63, it must be the European-spec which I believe is available with either front end and rear wheel drive. Does anyone know what the HP and torque numbers are for the European spec cars? Are they reduced with the rear wheel drive set up?

no an 8 compares to an S in terms of size, wayyy bigger than the E63. I drove the S63 a while back and it is disappointing, it doesnt drive anything like that E63, which is mind blowing seeing as how it has more tq. for a car that cost 160k it was a let down, idk what went wrong with it, im even shocked to see it lose here, to the under powered S8!
