TPMS issue- Only Show TPMS ACTIVE vs the PSI #'s

I did some searches but to no avail and yes I have a 2013 SL63 but I think we all run similar set ups TPMS wise and this forum has the most traffic in regards to that.

I put the stock wheels on today and took off the aftermarket ones. I don't have an error but instead I only see the words "TPMS Active" where I would normally see the PSI readouts. I am able to reset the "values" (although there are no shown values) and my tires via a manual gauge are at 40 psi.

Anyone seen this BS before and any idea how to clear vs going to the dealer so I can get my readouts back?

Thanks in advance.

uh oh, stocks are one....time for it to go?

if u goto americas tires, they have a handheld sensor module thingy that can reset the tpms if it shows an error or not read right

they did it for me...

Wasn't there something about driving a few miles for the TPMS to register tire pressures.

Yes and in the interim you see where the numbers will come up but there are dashes instead.... in my case I don't get that visual, I just get the "tpms active" readout.

Discount tire fixed all my cars' tire readouts for me with their OBD2-like thingy.... sadly you'd have to drive to one to get it, and they did mine free because I bought tires from them, but they are a cool company (at least by me) and likely would do it for free to earn your future business.

Isn't there a message that says "Reset Values" have you tried that?

Yes, please see my original post. I am able to reset the "values" but there are no values shown just that "TPMS Active" readout. I am going to take it to my local tuner for a Star System reset.

my brother has the same exact issues with a secondary set of OEM TPMS he ordered and placed in his aftermarket wheels, it doesn't bother him, but it did get us to question as to why, would be glad to see what the exact reason is, and how easy the fix is, thanks for dropping this thread on the forum vic55

I'm your huckleberry
Add me to the list of those who have this issue. The dealer repair two wheels and had to do a battery pull for another reason. As I drove away, I realized that all I see is "TPMS Active".

This is the closest thing I found:
http://www.justanswer.com/mercedes/7...e-monitor.html

I drove for about 30-40 minutes after leaving the dealer, but the pressure # display never returned. Has anyone identified a solution? Thanks.

i believe you have to drive 10-15 minutes without going less than 10-15 mph when you reset it.
