beeping sound
Anybody have any idea what would cause the car to beep periodically while your driving?
Kind of sounds like you've pushed the button to activate the voice command feature.
Happens randomly, sometimes while driving, other times while stopped at a light and other times shortly after starting the car.
Always look around the dash or the screen for something to appear or a message yet see nothing.
Confused.

I'm not sure it's the same cause but I discovered the car has an electronic nanny that beeps if it thinks you are approaching the car ahead too quickly or getting too close. It's annoying as heck! But it wouldn't do it when you're stopped, only when dicing in traffic or accelerating to pass someone before pulling out.

It's the same in my car... It's the proxity radar sensors ... Can get triggered when crossing intersections at times...

Beeping sound
What i noticed,when i am stopped either in a stop sign or stop light,
if someone crosses close to my front the car beeps.This is on my 2014
e63.

I heard a beep and saw a red triangle on dash (?) or something yet was on an empty road with no cars or cross streets
Maybe there should be a thread on what weird little things does your e63 do!
1) that ^
2) intermittent operation of foot activated rear trunk opener

there sure is a lot of things going on after shutdown... all kinds of hissing and puffing... it does not worry me, makes the car feel alive!

I agree that the car seems to have a mind of its own after shutdown. I'll sometimes be out in my garage several hours after I have driven the car and the air suspension starts doing funny things.

Funny, was just talking about that last night with the wife while outside. Car sounds like a bull puffing out steam.
Ultimately deduced that the beep does relate to messages. Every time I have heard it and hit the phone button and the little envelope indicating s new message was there. Even when there is not a new message on the phone some times it does beep.
Perhaps it is a new text since last in the vehicle that sets it off as well.

If it bothers you I think you can switch it off by turning "notifications" off in the blutooth menu (my salesman activated it yesterday by doing the opposite). I havent received a text yet so cant tell if it beeps...

Beep one time when start driving
I found it's the new iPhone. I have notifications enabled on the bluetooth. So if there are messages a beep happens and I see an envelope appear on the screen where the cell phone info is. I just disabled the notifications in the bluetooth part the is labeled MB.
