Hey guys, do you have any ideas of how I can get a louder exhuast sound in the cabin of the car? I really think it is a shame that you can't hear the exhaust sound at all in the car.

Assuming you don't have a wagon, someone on another thread recommended folding down the rear seats.

Correct, it's the sedan. Does it help alot or is it noticeable? Any other ideas?

Why don't you try it out and see for yourself? When I drove the wagon I definitely noticed the exhaust note from the inside of the car. Never drove the sedan with windows up though- had them down on the test drive. With this logic, I would assume that the rear seats down would make a noticeable difference in cabin noise from the exhaust.

I am driving a sedan windows up all the time and I am surprised how audible the exhaust sound is, almost comparable to my previous C63 sedan albeit a different sound altogether and perhaps a tad louder. I am surprised there is not much in yours?

I feel like it's loud enough... Any louder and I wouldn't want to drive it as a daily driver

Compared to what you hear outside and inside the car its a BIG BIG difference, I know it is a family saloon car but still. Sometimes you just want to hear the exhaust sound too. The car feels too isolated.

Remove the resonator with straight pipes, it will keep the stock sound but make it a tad louder.

with cats or without? Without wouldn't pass emissions and would send engine check lights on right?

Keep the exhaust pipe stock, just remove the primary resonator with straight 3" pipes.
no check light should come on with this.

I think the sound inside the cabin is plenty audible. Any louder and I would have an issue (need my Led Zep cranked up!)

Roll down the windows for the angry growl we all know and love so much.
