2015 E63 S Ordered
Well after doing tons of research here (thanks to everyone) and elsewhere, I finally ordered my 2015 E63 S sedan today for January delivery in the US. I considered European Delivery but actually ended up with a bigger discount for US delivery (probably the result of conducting pricing negotiations over the phone or via email with many different dealerships until I found the best deal).
One thing I definitely found out is that the dollar savings and dealer willingness to discount is much greater for BMW European Deliveries than MB European Deliveries (as MB dealers do not get any back end money or holdback for ED (and instead just get a commission) so they are not willing to go much lower than the ED discount -- best ED offer I had was 7.5 % off US MSRP).
The configuration is:
Exterior Color: Lunar Blue (I REALLY wanted Designo Mystic Blue but did not want to spend $9600 for a paint job and shame on Mercedes for taking away all the really bright colors from the Designo options when they face lifted the E class)
Wheels: 19 inch AMG forged twin 5 twin spoke alloy wheels
Leather: Designo light brown leather
Interior trim: Designo natural curly maple wood
Lane Tracking Package
Surround cameras
Acoustic laminated glass
Rear seat airbags (I think it is a disgrace that this safety feature is only optional and not standard on a $100k car)
Wheel locks
Passed on:
Carbon Ceramic brakes (didn't want squealing brakes in the cold NYC winters, I don't track my cars and huge cost)
B&O Sound system (tested it and was not impressed with it and did not want to lose the spare under the trunk floor)
Rear Seat Entertainment System
Driver Assistance Package (I hate electronic nannies)
Pano Roof (didn't want 100 pounds of extra weight so high on the car and have heard reports of clunking from some owners and it would disappear into a dark exterior paint color like lunar blue)
AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber Package
AMG Night Styling Package
Carbon fiber engine cover
When I get the car I am putting on the Renntech full tune (701 bhp and 839 lbs-ft of torque on 93 pump octane for $3500 bucks sounds like a good value proposition and going with Renntech for their decades of experience tuning AMGs and high customer satisfaction -- but did seriously consider AMS which seems to be putting out some very impressive performance results from their tuning/performance products).
Thinking of getting a nice set of DPE CS7 wheels for the summer. Throwing some Michelin Pilot Alplns on the 5 twin spoke AMG wheels for the winter here. And thinking about finding stiffer springs/shocks to reduce body roll in corners.

Congrats on the order.
How much did you end up saving off MSRP for this US delivery?
As well what is your estimated build date? November or December?

Good job with securing that discount and beautiful color combo. If you don't mind sharing (via PM) where did you order from and what discount did you secure on your ordered car?
BTW I have tested the MB CC brakes on a 2014 E63 and experienced zero squeaking issues even when the brakes were cold. I'd reconsider them if not for one benefit and that's low brake dust. It'll make cleaning the car so much easier!

I have the CCB on my wagon for 3000 km now and they squeak sometimes under light braking but after talking to chief instructor of AMG Driving Academy last october (before ordering - was debating CCB...) he mentionned that they need to be used hard a couple of times a week to bring them up in temperature and this solves the squeaking...
I would not go back on my decision, they have such a great bite and predictability, plus the look is awesome! Low brake dust was not a priority but I agree that the wheels always looks clean.

Thanks. Yes I understand that the squeaking goes away once the CCB are warm and that hard braking heats them up.
I sure do prefer their gold color against my lunar blue exterior to the standard red calipers of the stock brakes. Just didn't think that they would be worth the major expenditure given than I would never track such a heavy car. I do love the mountain twisties but the stock brakes should be fine for them.

That would seem ok. I did a lot better than that before the application of fleet money or manufacturer to dealer cash. It just takes patience and the willingness to contact many different dealers until you find one sufficiently motivated to sell an AMG car and keep up its allocation.
It also requires going to sales or general management who are often more concerned with volume than a salesman's individual commission.

I tuned my 550xi right away and did not regret it. I never can wait for the extra power LOL.

Just found out that my car will be produced during either the second or third week in November. I requested a final assembly day of either Tuesday or Wednesday. Did not want a car assembled on Monday or Friday for sure. Took the advice of some MB insiders on that one.
Getting excited.
Decided to add the pano roof after all due to resale if I buy it. Still debating purchase vs. lease.
Ordered a set of HRE RS101s -- brushed face and polished spoke widows and lip. Inner barrel gloss silver. Wheels are being made now.
Also had to switch to the standard titanium gray wheels. Mercedes told my dealer that the 19 inch 5 twin spoke forged wheels were out of stock for a November production and that if I wanted them, I would have to wait for a December or January build. That did not please me even though I will use the stock wheels just for a winter set.

Hello everyone,
I put my eyes on the E63 AMG S-Model 4matic. I am convinced that this is the car you want to get if you are looking for performance luxury and power.
Yet I have couple concerns plus questions before I make up my mind.
First of all do you guys think that I should wait for the 2016? is there going to be a huge change or should I just get the 2014 because from what I heard that the 2014 and the 2015 are no different.
Much appreciated

I am certain the electronics and nav will be superior in the new E63. And I would expect that the fantastic Burmester stereo now found in the C Class and S Class will make its way into the next E63. That stereo has a lot better sound, IMHO, than the HK or the $5400 B&O stereo in the current E63.
The 2015 E63 is little different than the 2014 E63 save for the fact that it will have power folding mirrors. It is basically the same exact car.

It appears that the the E63 and the E Class in general will have a new model in the year 2016 labeled as a 2017 model. Mercedes is already testing the new model. Much remains uncertain. But it is a sure bet that the E63 will have a variant of the same 4.0 L twin turbo V8 that sits in the new AMG GT and C63. That engine, at least in those two vehicles, is less powerful than the 5.5 L M157 engine in the current E63. I have no idea how much power the 4.0 L engine will produce in the next E63 but it would not surprise me if its power was less than the current engine. Certainly, at only 4 liters, I do not expect that the new engine will have nearly the tuning potential of the M157 engine nor do I expect it to sound as good as the M157 engine.

Now that's a bummer so if I want to get the new fancy electronics or electrical systems in the car such as the sound system, the navigation or the bigger screen maybe I'm going to trade that for the performance!!!
Can they just build the perfect car God!!!!
If you were my place would you get the 2014 or the 2015. Because obviously I bet you are the same from what I read it we don't have the patience to wait!!

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
If I were you, I would just pick up a '14. Next year will always be better, but if you keep following that you will never have a car.

Amen brother!! Story of my life!!! I don't know if the 2014's price will drop when the 2015 comes out. Honestly the only reason why I wanted to wait was the the navigation screen, this one is small and I was expecting something like the S model's will be built in the E!

You can probably snap up a leftover 2014 for under invoice minus incentives. I have heard there is currently $3,000 manufacturer to dealer cash on them but cannot confirm.
