Went to the track tonight

So I went to the dragstrip, Atco Raceway in Nj. I haven't raced in about 10 years so was a little rusty on the tree but ran a 11:91 at 121.63mph on my first run and a 11:82 at the same exact mph. Both runs were in s+ and sport, just floored it off the line. I really think once I get less rusty and can time the pre stage/stage to set the RS mode, the times will get better. I think the car leaves harder in RS then just mopping the throttle to the floor. I know most people that track their car, don't use RS but I think it is because it is such a PITA to set it with the little time you have. I will let you all know the 60' later, just started raining and I left the slips in my car, think it was a 1:9. Fun time though and the car is definitely a beast.

The times are never as fast as you think they are gonna be going to the track. I hoped for a high 11 with my 2wd 2012 and the best I could get was a 12.2. You'd figure the awd would be good for 11.7 or so especially with the cool PA air, but like I said they are always off from what you think they will be.

Yeah ,2012 merc amg, I think I'm good for a 70 if I can get the start better. My 60' is week, seen 2wd w212's going 1:80's. I'm at 1:919 and a 2:011 with an awd car, that's bad. I can get a tenth right there if I'm better out of the hole. I was really rusty, and not going to lie, pretty nervous up at the lights. That 82 I ran is pretty good, not too far off of the car in the video you showed.

Maybe try turning off the traction control, that might help. I turned mine off in my 2012 and that was when I got the best run of 12.20 with surprisingly no tire spin, shocked me, I thought all hell was going to break loose, I guess the track that night was really sticky because I'm just rear wheel drive.

Hmm, didn't think about that, good idea. Thanks, definitely will try that next time.

Oh snap... Thought you had all the nannies off.... Agreed... I've launched with and without traction control... Makes a subtle difference but less bogging and especially if you brake torque it'll improve the launch

Gorgeous black e63-s btw

Almost got a black one

The best time I saw on YouTube was 11.4 for the stock 'S

Their 0-60 was 3.3 seconds

Don't know how they achieved that

I really think in turning off the traction control and brake torqueing a little you will have an 11.7 out of that car. I've heard to that the tires should be a little lower in psi, like around 32 or so and then just fill them back up to 40 or so when you leave the track.
