Heated steering wheel
Is there any simple way to put a heated steering wheel in the 2015 E63? Mainly, can an E550 heated steering wheel be swapped into the 2015 E63? If so, what functionality am I risking here? Thanks.

If you put it to the floor and hang on tight, your hands will never notice the cold!

Just kidding, I often wondered why a heated wheel is not standard on these cars

Me too. A glaring omission in a car this expensive. I love this feature on my BMW 550xi and will miss it. Well at least Mercedes got with the program and added the power folding mirrors to the E class in 2015.

I totally agree - even on my more pedestrian E550 it is hard to find one with a heated steering wheel. For the price point of a higher end MB - especially an AMG - a heated steering wheel should be standard.

That is because the dealers order cars with God awful wood steering wheels, which do not come heated

Yes the wood wheel is not available on the E63 or E63 S. My mother's 2014 E350 has it. It looks very nice to me but gets super super hot in the direct Florida sun

'14 E63S, '13 G550, '06 E320 cdi, and a bunch of other stuff.
If the car came with wood accents on the steering wheel, there would be people griping about the car not having alcantara on the steering wheel.
