Hi guys,

My '11 E63 front suspension is occasionaly making strange squeaking noises at very low speeds (<15 MPH) when the suspension has load on it (going from flat ground to slight inclines etc) . It is not the usual sound you might hear when going over a speed bump, it's a very faint teetering sound kind of like an old seesaw or something. Has anyone experienced this before or any ideas?

you sure its not the cabin flexing, from my understanding our fronts arn't airmatic also. Ive noticed this when going up steep inclines/declines but always sounded like something with the body/chassis/cabin def not front suspension

I'm pretty sure it's not cabin flexing. It appears from very slight changes in incline, for example, driving up a multistory carpark. At first i thought it may be some AC or steering problem, but it definitely has something to do with the front wheels/suspension, and surface changes.

I have the same thing on my '14 E63 ... only hear it with the windows rolled down in the summer and paying very close attention .. can hear a squeak/creak in the front with just slowly going up the curb to get onto my driveway (I don't have a driveway that's flush to the road.. city code)

I never hear it otherwise, never thought to get it checked out until it got louder

I have similar in my 07 E63 front end...how much to replace ball joints, and any other possibilities...and what's that run?

On mine, as I mentioned, it is so subtle and I only incidentally heard it while windows all rolled down and music was off...

These cars have a handful of little things that are "wrong" that can cause insanity and I've learned to ignore a lot of as it's usually nothing serious

yeah i can only hear the noise when the window is down and the music is off also, took it to the dealer and said she was perfectly fine and that everything was where it is suppose to be

My situation is the same as you guys with the '14 mentioned. I only hear it occasionally with the windows down and the stereo off. I'm heading to the dealer on Friday to see if they can figure anything out.

The dealer couldn't replicate the sound when they did the road test... I didn't want to leave the car there over the weekend so i will take it back next week and get the technician to come in the car with me. The annoying thing is that they didn't even remove the wheels and check the front suspension components.

If you have the panoramic roof, wait until you torque the whole chassis (such as by turning onto a steep incline). It sounds like the top of the car is creaking and popping apart. I've gotten used to it, but it certainly is disconcerting.

I hope this is a problem they worked out for the 15s , and mine doesn't start doing this over time. To get into my driveway, it's pretty much a 180 degree ascending turn up about 25ft. Haven't heard anything yet, but the inly time I do notice some hesitation from the tranny is during this maneuver.

Update: The issue is finally resolved, the dealership ended up changing both front struts, ball bearings, and a few other suspension components under extended warranty. The didn't attribute the sound to one particular part, but it's gone now and i'm happy .

Anyone else have all these suspension parts replaced -- still hearing a squeak only on abrupt bumps and with the windows rolled down -- always the damn drivethrough -- LOL

I have had this squeak from the suspension since the car had 90 miles on the odometer

my indy did some other replacements of rubber parts and now my E63 is AWESOME. still not sure what he did, but it did take 3 tries...but it is a charm...and sooo happy now w/ car.
can't imagine a $20k-ish car that's this amazing!

Peter, I still hear a slight squeak in the same conditions you describe, however this time its from the rear of the car.... lol. Its probably too subtle for the SA/Tech to hear so ill just put up with it and see if it develops any more. It appears we are both hypersensitive to the sounds of our cars haha
