I know the high end HRE forged wheels weight about 20 lb or slightly less for the 19" wheels, so I am guessing that the MB forged will be a few pounds more. Maybe 23-24 lbs?

Got the Opti-Coat Pro treatment done today. Only things left to do are wheels in spring and then a tune.

This car is definitely growing on me. It can be a relatively tame 4-door sedan in C and then all hell breaks loose when you press the AMG button. I can only imagine how crazy it will be once I get the tune and some lighter HRE wheels. I have been a BMW fan for quite some time and this AMG has definitely changed my mind. Lately, I keep asking myself if I should trade my 2014 Boxster S and order the GTS. Part of me wants to keep a convertible, and driving a mid-engine car is quite a different experience, but I can only use it top down in Chicago for 7-months at most per year without being too cold. Would the GTS be a better year round fun car?

Wow, that reflection is amazing. Does the Opti-Coat Pro specifically enhance the reflection, or is that just the underlying detailing job, that then Opti-Coat Pro merely protects it?

It's a combination of both. The car was detailed throughly before the Opti-Coat application and it already had a pretty good shine. The Opti-Coat Pro then gives it the extra protection, as well as the "Wet" look. There is a product out there called CQuartz Finest that gives an even better wet shine, and it is a little cheaper than Opti-Coat as well. However, it is a 2-year protection vs 5 on the Opti-Coat.

Nice. There's actually a CQuartz dealer/detailer in my area, I'm going to have to check them out. Thanks!

Thanks! Unfortunately with all the recent snow storms, the car does not look like this anymore. It will again once all the snow goes away and I give it good wash.

BTW, I'm looking to sell my OEM Pirelli P Zero tires for $950 shipped. More details in the Classified Wheel/Tire section. Don't know if it's Kosher to post it here as well.
