275 Square on 2014+ E63S 4Matic?
My one complaint is stability control that can’t be turned off. Or at least I don’t know how to. (I have triggered the role over mode ,kind of scary the first time you feel it and your windows close automatically)
Have you found a car to drive yet?
Car mags are pushing the car to the limit. The dynamics of any chassis change as one pushes further and further to the limit. My track car drive poorly on the street. Or when giving students rides on the track at less than 10/10ths. Yet it feels predictable and comfortable when I push it to the edge and beyond.
What feels good, safe and comfortable on the street usually doesn't work on the track when driven in anger.
Read the Lightning Lap at VIR from this year. The meatfisted editors managed to destroy a wheel when hammering the car hard over the curbs. This happened because there's basically zero clearance between the tire/wheel and the front strut. And that's with the stock tire.

I am kidding of course.
They all have stock summer tires and I value my life too much. One sales at a dealership actually said "it will be fine, the car is an AMG and it's got 4matic". It was -10C outside that day (14F for my American friends), just wow. Plus I need to order now in order to get a spring delivery.I did read the lightening lap review, too. But let's be honest they are some pretty terrible drivers. I mean I am no Daniel Ricciardo, but I do find my apex most of the time. Watching their lap with the M235i, I am pretty sure I can do a second or two better, easily. Though reading about their mishap does make me worry about the lack of clearance, hence me making this thread.
I do appreciate all the comments and suggestions. While what I am trying to do might be a bit atypical, it is theoretically sound. We will see. Probably for the first summer season I will drive the car with stock tires and enjoy the car the way the AMG engineers intended. Once I have tried the 245/255 square setup in winter, I can then decide if a 275 square setup is worth trying for the summer.
