Is the wagon really "softer" than the sedan....this guy thinks so

Has anyone read the autocar.co.uk article by Rory white on the cla45 shooting brake AMG? He says, "the fact amg softens off its estates compared to their saloon or coupe equivalents". Thinking back to the hammer wagon, to the first e55's, to e63s I cannot imagine where he gets this idea from. Is there any proof of this or is this guy just talking cause he likes the sound of his own voice?

That guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Perhaps it's possible, but surely it would be more widely known if it were actually true.

We would need to know how the term "soft" is being defined or used...

"In truth, it isn't the most playful chassis, mainly because the rear-bias never exceeds the front. Despite this, and the fact that AMG softens-off its estates compared with their saloon or coupé equivalents, the way this Shooting Brake corners is nothing short of brilliant. Grip is huge and re-introduction of the throttle, late-corner, is always handled with confidence."

This is the paragraph where Rory is being "soft" with the word 'fact". Maybe Rory needs to get a free subscription to the EPC.

'12 E63 Wagon
Several reviewers have mentioned that the balance of the wagon is superior to the sedan (especially in the 4-matic) because the wagon has more weight over the same rear suspension.

I'm thinking Chris Harris, the ex-American racing driver (I've forgotten his name), and the older guy that does all the hot laps for MT (and who apparently doesn't like the new Z06, which concerns me). They all mentioned the better wagon bias with the same suspension.

I guess one could always compare part numbers...
