Throttle lag from stop is annoying....

Was in a intersection taking a left on green and timed my left turn against a car coming towards me in the oncoming lane... Got on the gas... A half second delay and the I started moving but was enough of a delay to nearly get me in hot water ...

I have read others complain about the throttle lag... Time for me to do a tcu reset? Any 2014+ e63 owners try the sprintbooster yet?

I'm up to 1000 miles already and now know what you mean. Was kind of surprised the first time it happened to me. Does it happen to you in all driving modes? Regarding the Sprintbooster, I have it in my C32 and it only amplifies the signal going from the pedal to the TB. If this is a TCU SW issue. the Sprintbooster will not help.

Lenin

Happens in all modes... Even s+

I'm up to 3000 miles and I'm taking in for the recall, I'll gave them reset the tcu or look for new sw

I don't recall it being this bad... And the e550 was pretty immediate throttle response... Hopefully as simple as a tcu reset

Mine does the same, even with the Rebellion Tune on it.
I nearly got into an accident because of the delay when turning with oncoming traffic too.
Can't beleive a company like Mercedes would not adress this situation

Same here, same situations. I keep pressing the pedal, as I see the traffic coming, then, boom, everyone is slammed into the seats and the wife starts yelling. I wonder if sdg can chime in on if the renntech tune alleviates this problem.

After my Renntech tune my throttle lag has been cut in half I would guess so although an improvement there is still some there.

I brake torque lightly when taking left turns now to have that power ready to go and no lag

Glad it's not just me, sux it's all of us

I've experienced the same, very frustrating however I've also noticed a big improvement in throttle response (and reduction in low speed lag) from getting an AMS tune.

Wow! Happens to me as well... in my wife's car which is turbocharged (2014 nissan pathfinder). I was kind of surprised the first time as I wasn't expecting this. It is kind of frustrating!!
I would be kind of pissed if I had an E63 doing this!!!

The throttle lag is a lot less with the Renntech tune than without it. The one place where the car stumbles is when I am coasting to a stop and then mat the accelerator. It take a little bit for the MCT to sort it all out. But from a stop, there is not much lag with the Renntech tune.

This is my 5th Merc and 3rd AMG and every single one of them had it. I always think if other brands have the same thing going on. Its funny, you get used to it over the years. Now when I need to overpass or switch lanes my foot is buried before I even initiate the move.

Well I had a C250 loaner and man did that thing have lag. I thought turbo lag was kind of a myth as I've driven a number of turbo cars and haven't had the problem, but they were always manual transmission so that probably helped tremendously.

The C250 was ridiculous, I don't know how my coworkers drive them. Put foot down and wait, then all of a sudden the car starts moving.

My 63 has no turbo lag... It's got throttle lag

When you depress the accelerator any amount it takes at least 1/2 a second before the engine does anything

Once the engine gets the signal to move.. It moves like hell

This is not a turbo lag situation. Its electronic. It has nothing to do with boost. My ML63 used to have it bad. Now my 14 wagon has it but not anywhere near as bad

It has really changed my driving to where I second guess entering traffic or not and now I wait for added room. Kind of sucks.

Yup, agreed. I brake torque into turns like that to know I have immediate power

My naturally aspirated e63 has no lag, sounds like a warranty issue if it surely isn't turbo lag.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
Try resetting the adaptive tranny and see. There is no lag every time right after I reset it, but of course I also have a N/A unit. Ahhh, one of the cons of forced induction.

Likely has nothing to do with forced induction... It's the drive by wire and the poor/delayed communication between the pedal and the throttle body

Will try a tcu reset

What gear are u guys in when you feel the delay? Unless I am in manual it seems the transmission is always 3 gears to high....just a thought.

First gear ... Lifting foot off the brake from a complete stop and then apply quick pressure to the accelerator ... 1/3 to 1/2 second delay before car responds at all
