What second car to compliment an E63s?

My 1930 Model A Rat gets more looks than all my friends exotics and I don't have to worry about anyone scratching the paint..lol. Built 357 small block chevy, 478hp to the rear wheels in an 1800lbs car= pretty darn sketchy. Good luck to the OP with your decision, but after reading, I think the Lambo will be the car for you. Porsche is a great car, unbelievable driving manners on and off the track, but just not enough WOW factor for showing off. Here is a cool video, Rat Rod vs Lambo.

I got invited to the GTS release event in Palm Springs in December and got to drive one on road and track. It feels a lot like a baby SLS, but not as hairy. For the same money I think I'd get a second hand SLS and one more go at at big NA motor before they go the way of the dodo.

As you found out, there really isnt anywhere to drive a *really* fast car quickly, especially without an occasional brush in with the ticket-insurance racket.
Consider a car that gets good attention, is thrilling to drive, and ... hold its value. There are cars out there like a 1966 or 1967 Corvette 427 convertible that are actually really thrilling to drive marginally quickly, sound amazing, and will be worth more when you are done with it. The only difficult part I've found with several of the older sports cars is that they need leaded high octane fuel, which isn't as easy to get when you want to take a trip down the coast or wherever.
Consider a Dino 246, a Porsche 356, a Corvette 427, etc. These cars are really fun to take out for a drive at 35mph on a curvy road, look classy as #$%^, and will never drop in value.
You gotta get out and drive whatever it is. No point in spending $$$ on a garage ornament.

My other car is a modded 2014 911 Turbo S (GIAC Stage 2 ECU flash, Europipe exhaust with 100 cell cats, IPD plenum, race diverter valves, BMC filter).
I am in love with that car. You can use it every day as it's ride is reasonably comfortable (unless you set it to hard) and it has 6 inches of ground clearance (a lot for a sports car) and it accelerates faster to 100 than just about anything below the $1 million and up Hypercar class.
If you don't want to spend 991 TTS money (mine stickered at $194k and I bought for $168k), the previous model Turbo S (the 997 TTS) is a good choice.
Both will destroy a 430 or Gallardo in the quarter mile. And be much more reliable.
Between Ferrari and Lambo I prefer Ferrari.

Also I believer the OP mentioned he wanted a "Sense of Occasion" also. Nothing out there says Class and a Sense of Occasion like a Aston Martin. IF you want a cruiser then get a 2006-and on DB9/DBS pending what you want to spend or a 2009+ V8Vantage. Either will provide all the power you want and not cost you as much as most of the other cars mentioned in repairs. Most AM's cost less than $1500 a year to own repair wise and are much more reliable than any Italian. A Ferrari can show up and steal the show, but a Aston Martin exudes prominence no matter the company. You can pick up a very nice low mileage AM for less than 70K.
I first saw this ad in reference to BMW's CPO program - manyy years ago.
Anyway, about the AM - dude have you driven a DB9 ?!? The car drives like dog s**t !! I know because a friend had one and I put a fair amount of seat time in it... I probably wouldn't take one for free!
The older V12 Vanquish, however; I like!
If getting an Aston, the only way to go is V12 Vantage or NEW Vanquish (if you've got the dough!)

I think it's interesting as with such a great do it all car we are all so different in terms of what we'd like as an alternative.
A couple days ago I pulled up beside a guy in a yellow 360 spider. He was late 30s and loving life. His car sounded great, looked great and seemed as though he could care less that I could have showed him my tail at a whim.
I'm not a Porsche guy. There are just so many of them out there. I love the premise of the gt3 but just can't get into the car.
I never really considered North American muscle cars. viper or vette... Never really my thing but I might have to go drive them. Price point wise I could get a lot of power and sound for not a lot of dough, but I don't think they are exclusive enough to get me off.
Personally I keep coming back to the SLS or a Lamborghini. I think I need to drive a lambo to see what the deal is, so I'm going to Vegas and will drive a couple there.
But then today I took the E out for a hard run and it was great. Summer tires, m mode, sport mode, sport plus suspension side bolsters as tight as they would go... Got me wondering what is all the fuss for as I can't stay pedal to the floor for more than five seconds before I'm on someone's a$$, so what am I hoping to accomplish.
I think it's interesting as with such a great do it all car we are all so different in terms of what we'd like as an alternative.

The original poster as the cash to get a used Lamborghini then he's likely got the cash to pay for the ridiculous high rate of repair fees from what I understand is a very unreliable vehicle in total.
