This is Just, Plain, Sad...
In Miami this week for an engagement with client, saw this in the parking lot of a major hospital...unbelievable, but typical for the area I'm sure
Yet another reason to go to jail if I had this car...

Sad. Wonder the story behind this. Did the owner of this 911 Turbo S leave the engine on while he/she went into a 7-11 for a pack of cigarettes and the thieves took off in the car? I would never leave the engine running unless I'm in the car.
I would think Porsche has the equivalent of Mbrace where someone can tell you or the police the car's exact position in a matter of seconds via the car's GPS.
Nonetheless, sad for the owner of that car.

Looks like the broke off the lug nut posts with a sledge to steel the wheels so locks would have done no good. At least it looks like no body damage so new studs and wheels and the car should be good as new. But ya, typical in Miami. Crime is pretty bad there.

Very Sad
WOW! How pissed would you be? But I'm not surprised. Crime is getting worse everywhere. Here in New Orleans, like most places, it's mainly drug related.
Friend of mine had his tires/rims stolen and replaced with bricks. It was a cold night and he woke up early (still dark). He started the car from inside the house, so it would warm up. Walked out (street parking only in his area), got in and put it in drive and nothing happened. After calling OnStar for diagnostics gave up and got out and realized he had no tires. I felt bad for him, but I did laugh a little inside, when he told me. He replaced the 4 tires with nicer ones and wheel locks. So next time he woke up and had no tires and they had broken in his SUV and gotten the wheel lock keys. Just got my wife an Escalade, it has 3 motion sensors inside, angle change sensor and wheel locks. But if they want it bad enough, they'll get it.

Guys, this was in a parking lot for the hospital in which you have to PAY regardless to get in and out. There's no free exit unless it's flying out the balcony on the 2nd or higher floor

This is one reason I'm thinking of getting rid of my fancy cars, just not worth it these days. Can you imagine the hassle the guy is gonna have dealing with the insurance company who owns this car?

There's always the possibility he's upside down on the car (possibility, not likelihood). So they may have done him a favor.
But on the other end, if he can afford the car, chances are it's no more than an inconvenience. Hardly life-shattering.

No, just a reflection of the fluid leak...
Also, I thought the yellow brake option meant carbon ceramic... And those rotors look like steel... Maybe this car isn't exactly what is claims to be..?

Isn't the right answer to get the thieves off the street, so the neighborhood is better and safer? Having to sell your cars, which you worked hard to afford, and drive some econo box doesn't solve anything.

That sucks, it does say PCCB on the rotor hat - I'd be worried they knocked into the rotors and damaged them, very costly repair for wheels tires and brakes

So the car is finally gone today. The scuttlebutt is that it belonged to an older doctor, and Indian gentleman. Cops were saying this is not the first occurrence at this parking lot, the typical MO is this:
1) Hit the car with dat electric impact wrench
2) Actually drive around the parking lot area to make sure no one is watching
3) In the case of the 911, lift the rear and remove the rear tires. Put it up on blocks
4) Lower the car, which then uses the weight of the engine in the rear to raise the front of the car
5) Take the front wheels. Supposedly this all takes a few minutes, if that
Cameras are only stationed at entrance and rear of parking structure. They obviously knew where to put the blocks...
Everyone who knows that car here is saying the same thing, why didn't they take PCCB...

Look, they left the wheel bolts on the ground. So just need to get a new set of wheels and put them back on in reverse order.

ummm, i think the studs are broken and the car is going to need a lot of other work I'm sure, including brake lines and maybe damaged brakes. What a damm shame. I wonder if those wheels cost as much as the AMG 1900 dollar wheels? probably even more.
