CLS 63 Wheels on W212 E63
Been trying to find out if CLS63 Wheels would fit on an 2012 E63
I've got the Specs for both wheels but just can't find anywhere that says for definet if they will fit without problems.
I've checked the wheel offset calculator and it says there will be 1mm less inner clearance and extend 11mm to the outside.
W212 E63
Front 9J x 19 ET 37
Rear 9,5 J x 19 ET 52
W218 CLS63
Front 9J x 19 ET 37
Rear 10J x 19 ET 47
Cheers

Yup I've already read that and it still doesn't clear anything.
has anyone actually fitted 19 x 10" et 47 cls rear wheels to a w212 E63 without any problems.
Thinking about it there shouldn't be any problems as most of it will extend out the way just dont want any rubbing issues because of that.
Plus I'll be running 295's on the rear if I do go ahead.

Just checking in on an old thread. I am thinking about purchasing a take off set of CLS63 wheels (the 19 inch cross spoke forged) for my W212 E63 and just want to be sure the rears will fit. The wheels are too far away for a test fit.
Front size 19 by 9 offset 37 are the same for both so no issue.
The rears on CLS are 19 by 10 offset 47 vs 19 by 9.5 offset 52. According to the wheel size calculators, the CLS rim would sit 1.4 mm closer to the suspension strut and stick out 11.4 mms more.
I have tried to do my homework before posting and looked at prior threads with 10 inch (and 10.5 inch) wheels that seem to fit on the W212 E63. I have seen several forum members run 20 by 10 offset 39 that fit so I think the CLS rim would work.
There was one earlier post in another thread of someone who fit their CLS63 wheels to their W212 E63 without issue but I believe the CLS63 in past used both 9.5 and 10 inch rear widths depending upon the wheel type so I don't know if they fit the 10 inch wheel without issue.
Thanks again in advance for your feedback.

Thanks for your response. You also flagged for me a question that I had not been thinking about - which is even if the rear wheels "fit" fine, would I be comfortable with the rears being pushed out slightly to the fenders? I don't think that would be an issue if both the fronts and rears are pushed out a bit. But in this case the fronts would remain "stock" from an offset perspective so you could have a slight mismatch. You made me recall that my old winter set for the E63 had rear wheels that were 12 mm pushed out, and it was something that I noticed.
I have to think about that a bit more about whether that would bother me or not before I pull the trigger.
Again, thanks for your perspective.

as for the front, just add spacers, probably 10mm & longer bolts 👍

If there's anyone with a W212 E63 in the New Orleans area that wants to test the stock W218 CLS63 wheels to put this question to rest let me know. I have a set in the garage that can be used.

19x10 et 47 will fit fine with no problems. I am running 19x10 et 55 with 295 and I have room for a 5+ mm spacers
I also ran a 19x10 et 40 and that fit but not sure I could have used the stock sized tire (I ran 275s in the rear).

KPonti;
Thanks for comments. Sounds like I would have room with that offset to the inside. I just need to think about the profile on the outside of the wheel face sitting 11 mm further out. I think it will work.
Pasn Yu, thanks for the offer to test fit your CLS63 wheels on an E63. Wish I were in New Orleans to take you up on that offer.

Just wanted to close the loop on this for any future forum members.
I can now confirm that the W218 CLS63 wheels fit a W212 E63 without any issue. I am now running the forged cross spoke CLS63 wheels on my E63 and they work very well. The rears stick out a bit more than stock, but not in a bothersome way in my opinion.
I have included a few photos in case you are curious.
A brief funny aside on a conversation I had with my teenage daughter after I proudly mounted these new wheels on my E63. I told her I was pleased that I may now have the only W212 E63 in the country (world) sporting the cross spoke CLS63 AMG wheels. She looked at me and deadpanned . . . "and that means what" . . . Good point, doesn't mean much of anything. . . But I do like the look of the new wheels.
Thanks again for your helpful input!

I have a set of OEM Forged wheels from my 2012 CLS63 AMG in great shape in the same specs posted above. Posted them in the wheel & tire classifieds section if anyone is interested.

Your forged wheels at $2k are a good deal for someone. I have now purchased two pre-owned sets of AMG OEM forged wheels and have paid more than that for each set. Hope you find a buyer soon.
Kind regards

No spacers. For a perfect match, you could run spacers on the front wheels. But it is not really noticeable for me and I don't want to run spacers.
I am running the stock 255 front and 285 rear tires. Same, as Otakki noted, as for the E63 and CLS63.

As a matter of fact, I agree so strongly that I will be getting them too! Though I am going to do it a tad differently. I am going to get the CLS63 rears (19x10, 47mm) and C63 cabriolet fronts (9x19, 25mm). According to my calculations, this should make the fronts and rears come out 11mm from compared to factory which I think will be a fantastic set-up. I can't wait! Now just have to find a good deal on them somewhere. =)
Anyone else with cross-spokes on a W212 or S212?

Thought I would chime in... here's quick pics of my 2015 E63 with CLS wheels on them, I lucked out and got a great deal on these OEM's. Rears do stick out about 10mm further than stock, its pretty flush now, doesnt bother me.

Where’d you get them if you don't mind me asking?
