It has been quite a day so far. First I went to AMS to pickup my custom tuned E63 that gave 597 AWHP and 733 AWTQ, and then went to a dealer to buy a used 2014 BMW M6 Convertible to replace the Boxster S. The M6 is fully loaded and drives totally different than the E63. I am so used to just hitting the throttle on the E63 and letting the AWD system take care of business, but you really need to pay attention to the throttle on the M6. Both are great cars and serve difference purposes. Will have more comparisons once I have put more miles on the M6. Here are a couple of pictures from my cellphone.

Nice! Two awesome yet very different cars. I see midwest motors on your plate frame, my friend Ben owns it. He only buys super nice clean cars, nice buy! One day I will own a m6 gran coupe.
@nstanford - Yes, the M6 is quite a beast and I anticipate having to replace the rear tires frequently. I am still undecided on the exhaust, but have decided to go with Dinan for the tune for their warranty. Also plan on doing the the BMW CF lip spoiler and rear diffuser.
@nickovic1 - Met Ben yesterday when I got the car and he is a super nice guy. The car was a one year lease from BMW and seems to be in great ocndition.
@otakki - Yes, the DCT would be great in the E63. I love driving the E63 but it took a couple of thousand miles for me to get used to the slight throttle lag. The AMS tune definitely made it better, but it is not as immediate as the one on the M6.
@peterubers - The tuned E63 is frankly quite brutal especially in S & S+, but it drives like a normal car in C unless when you dip into the throttle more aggressively. I believe that this combo is the best daily driver available on the market today.
The M6 is Alpine White with Full Sakhir Orange interior and carbon fiber trim. Options are Competition Package, Executive Package, Driver Assistance Plus, B&O Sound and M Light Alloy Wheels. The original list price was $140K and I got the car for $97K. Car was a one year lease with 11K miles. Talk about brutal first year depreciation. The cool thing is that I have always wanted either an Alpine White or Singapore Grey Metallic M car with the orange interior and this would pretty much be how I would custom order it as well, so someone else took quite the hit for it.
It has been cloudy and raining out here for the past few days so I haven't taken any new pictures. I do have the ones from the dealer's website. Will take some next week.
Looks good, the Orange provides a good contrast. Some shots of the CF interior for comparison purposes would be ideal I had Coral Red interior on my BMW and loved it
