had a car (E class) done in vinyl and it held up great...I got rid of the car and it was still there......probably still looks good........seems better and more durable to me than dip, especially in those area's, good luck with it

+1 for vinyl. Easy do it yourself project.
I got a roll of 4 inch from shadowlinetrim.com and am happy with result.

I tried doing the window trim w plastidip and it just didn't work. Ultimately went with vinyl and it lasted years.
Plasti is good for the emblems and trunk trim.
I'm selling a black grill if you re interested.

I painted all my chrome trim on the wagon. I use to have vinyl on my blacked out SRT8 and that lasted 3+ years. We will see about the paint but I plan on keeping this one for a while.
