Took the E63 in yesterday to get command rotary control knob replaced and my SA informs me that my headlight lenses appear to be slightly burned. Then he tells me that MB will replace the entire assemblies while still under warranty! I guess the Xenons do burn a bit hotter eh??

I gotta admit, I didn't even notice whatever it is he saw. But hey, New headlight assemblies. Not gonna argue! lol

That's gotta be a pretty good hit to MB. Makes you wonder a bit if the dealer is cashing in on all these warranty repairs.

So this together with getting all new interior wood trim under warranty is working out pretty nice.

BTW, my factory warranty is up in 3 weeks. talk about just in time.

I think vdub has been going back and forth with his steaership and they still won't replace his headlamps for this infamous "v" burnin issue

Someone here at work eluded to the same thing about getting everything swapped out!

He is cool. We go back to 1998 when I bought my first new Benz (E320). Then after 1 year I traded it in for the nearly impossible to get at the time E55. I also have a 2013 GLK350 (wifey car) and he just put all new rotors and pads on it after the 2 year, 20k mile limit was up. He got MB to pickup the majority of it and we paid a total of $120. LMAO!! It is kinda BS though for rotors to warp at 20k miles. And my wife doesnt drive it hard.

Apparently brakes are an issue on the GLK's. Ugh.

i got mine done....i pushed for it, showed them our thread etc....

the new ones still project the V , but havent hazed yet..im sure they will

its not just the xenons, its all of them..ive seem it here and in the UK...

Yup, I had to go to two dealerships, fight with Mercedes Benz back and forth before they finally replaced them.

Bro. Since you are not on my I don't care list. Before your factory 4 years 40,000 miles is up, tell them your battery died and your shocks bounce all over the place, MB dealer will replace them free of charge. Took my 2011 E350 in yesterday and my SA said that my 2011 factory warranty expires in Sept., he ask me with a smile, did your battery died recently with a wink and I said with oh it did ( never happened) and he said ok, lets replace it before the factory warrantee expires, then he asked how is my shocks with another wink and I said they bounce allot ( they don't ) then my SA said lets get you some new shocks.

These things I mentioned is NOT cover after your factory warrantee expires ( even with extended warrantee ) so go back to your dealer and tell them the same.

BTW, my SA will replace my 2 headlights assembly on my AMG which he said it cost $5,000 each to replace because its lightbulbs gets too hot thus causing the V shape marks on Mercedes across all classes so dealer are quietly replacing them FOC. Too bad about my interior wood trim on my AMG because they are CF. They replaced my e350 with a heartbeat.

I was just sharing what my dealer and SA did for me. If a MB dealer offer to replace something that was old with something new free of charge, you are seriously going to argue with that? Just like the OP of this thread said, his dealer is replacing the headlight Assembly because the V mark that he even didn't notice and MB didn't issue a recalled for it, but as many members said is being replace FOC, you are going to say no to the offer?

I just hope your not two face and turn around and ask your dealer for the same and don't even have the comment courtesy of saying thank you.

There is a difference between a SA offering to provide something for free and you counseling others to lie to the SA / attempt to perpetrate fraud. This appears to be lost on you.

Ok, your right. The OP of this thread didn't notice something about his headlight and then got a new replacement FOC, that is warrantee fraud. Ok then, I am going to try to get a new engine, transmission and everything else FOC. Lol. Is this forum getting useless or what?

The wondering about engaging the RS for your AMG, when I pick up my E350 tomorrow and turn in my AMG, my SA said he will bring on a test run and show me how it's done. I asked have you done it before and he said him and his service department has done it on the AMG S, E class and he knows how it's done. Yeah, they do it with a brand new AMG because it's part of training to get to understand a Mercedes Benz.

I will take a video tomorrow when he ( SA ) show me how. If you are not on my list, PM me and I'll show you the video when it's done tomorrow.

The OP had a legitimate claim (even if he didn't realize it), you simply wanting to have new hardware and colluding with the SA to commit fraud is another

My wife picked the car from the dealer today. She drove it 15 mins to the church she works for and runs in for 5 mins.

She comes out and battery DEAD! Getting comicle. Last time I picked it up from dealer command center rotary knob stopped working.

I jumped the car and got it home. And,

Within 45 minutes of first call to roadside, I had a new battery free of charge installed in my garage!

2 weeks left on warranty.
