House Of Import, specifically Colby Shaffer changed my steering wheel without me asking for it. Also, the metal keyless ring, got new one too. How cool is that😎 I didn't have to drive 500 miles to my friend who owns a dealer and I was there to change the Rado brake pads.

For non SoCal members, the dealers gets a A+ for review gets an extra perks for the review.

If you do visit Colby, tell him MBworld member with the white E63 sent you. He will hook you up. Remember Vdub, our factory warranty don't cover these things.

No, I mentioned the chrome around the keyless button was rusting so they replaced that and the steering wheel.

Why would you think that? You know SA don't have final saying, it's got to get the approval of Service manager and AMG guys, right?

I'm assuming someone other than you paid for the steering wheel to be changed? That's considered a trim piece, so you're right, warranty (Aftermarket/CPO) will not cover it. Anyways, the cost of that steering wheel is about $2K probably? So, if you didn't pay for it, someone did. Also the guy who installed it, the actual guy who took your old one off and put the new one on, he had to be paid as well.

So, now we have a new steering wheel not covered by warranty, and about 6 hours of labor, both of which you didn't pay for. We can agree that someone paid for it. You see what I'm getting at?

Yes, I agreed someone paid for it and that someone is MBUSA. You do understand you bought a Mercedes and not a Honda, right? Dealers don't pay warranty thing from their own pocket. Sorry I was just trying to share a good thing.

but thats not attached the wheel itself, yet that was replaced...maybe its me but i dont get it...ill ask the guy u referenced on monday when i go in..

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Replacement like that will sometimes leads to more problems. I'm not sure why they wouldn't replace just the rusted ring.
