Anybody recently purchase a pre-paid maintenance plan recently?
I'm coming up on a service & am considering a pre-paid plan. Any dealer recommendations?

I just purchased a pre-paid plan 2 weeks ago. Basically my major service 20k-40k-60k cost about $1100, the pre-paid maintenance came out to $1250. No hesitation on my part, basically I saved $500. The pre paid plan included a major and minor service.

Hi! sorry just realized you were in the area ! sure, I do all of my service and all at American Service Center in ballston VA, now called Mercedes of Arlington. I use Gary Burke. Great service advisor, they dod everything to make it a perfect service center. For example, I complained that my transmission was shuttering and jerky, they replaced the valve body and now its smooth as butter, I complained about the V in headlights and they took care of that also. They are excellent and I have brought all of my bentos their for service and will continue to do so. I know that you can shop around for these warranties but I like dealing with one dedicated person for all my transaction and build a relationship. Hope this helps,

Wow! what year is your E63? On the MBUSA website, if you add the 3 year maintenance package when building out your 2016 E63, it is $1800. I felt like a got a pretty good deal at $1900.

Bought the 3 maintenance package for my 2015 E63 S about a week ago for $1,750. I'll be doing a B-A-B with it. Anyone have an idea what the A & B services cost in California (Bay Area).

B-A-B is the way to go, since the B services are more expensive than the A. Not sure what A costs, but my SA told me that B runs about $1700 (Autobahn Motors in Belmont).

MB of Henderson (Las Vegas) quoted me $650 for service B.
They also quoted me over $5000 of "recommended work" on 3 years old MB. That include replacing brakes that still have 6 mm of pads
I bought more than a dozen MB for me and my family in last 20 years. Most of them come with high mileage.
Thanks to DIY and "not buying the crap" my average maintenance come to less than $ 100 a year.
Only on 2014 model I was forced to go to the stealer for sensor coding.Other than that, no mechanic touches my cars.

I'm all for observing the manufacturer's maintenance to protect my automotive investments. I'm also receptive to proactive maintenance on older cars. On the other hand, I cringe when dealers make-up "good / better / best" maintenance schemes. In retrospect, it (unsurprisingly) comes down to trust with the service writer. I've got a great one with my other car ('08 GX470) and follow her recommendations to a "T."
