10 second SRT owner Mike thinks you're funny.
That's great, I've never read that before... Lol
Only problem is, the 8th grade professor's theory assumes a fixed distance of spin or no spin. I'm sure it took you a total of five seconds to find something that agreed with what you were saying.

But it is funny to read his replies of " I've seen it, so it's fact", while totally ignoring videos and/or measured race data results that completely disagree with what he stated previous.
I determined he was a guy who may have been to a few TNT nights and is a now a drag racing expert after his second post in this thread.
$20k and unreliable to make a 700whp ctsv...lol.. I thought that was a good one too.

To the dbag that just joined the forum a couple of months ago. Use the search button. My AMG drag racing history is well documented on the forums and throughout the southwest.
You're the one that's ignoring videos and measured race results. Just look at dragtimes! Mike is dead on about cars at this level and a better launch resulting in slightly slower trap speeds. Again, you would know that if you actually raced and had your own data to inspect.
Only an internet fool that knows very little about modding would come in talking about Hennessy. You have no idea of what a shady past he has and it sounds like you believe him when he says you need to spend $20k with him to get 700 reliable hp out of a CTS-V. You're too ignorant to realize he's slapping his name on the same $3500 worth of parts and tuning and upcharging 400-500%. Try actually getting your hands dirty modding and racing instead of going off what you've read from your local newsstand. I bet you're too much of a dbag to even buy the magazine after!

I'm a long time member over there also.
I browse for laughter here, get technical drag racing and FI information there.

Sorry to the OP for hacking this post, but I see some guys from Bucks County, PA and Moorestown, NJ on these comments. I have a bunch of friends going to Atco in a couple weeks, Tuesday Oct. 6th. I'm bringing my 63, and my friends have a new M4, a M3, a Ford GT, a Nissan 370z supercharged, a 15' C7, and a 15' Porsche 911 turbo. Just seeing if any of you guys want to meet up down there. The air will be nice and cool for the turbo cars.

Will do, but I am putting on a Rebellion tune this Saturday, so I wont be stock. Going to do a before and after dyno run to see the gains, shouldn't be much but anything is always good. I already ran at the track a couple times stock and my best was a 11.71 at 121.6mph.

It is a plug in tune, just plugs into 4 different sensors on the motor, no ecm work or removal. Here is a post about some numbers that one of the members from here is getting with that tune,,, and his stock pass was a 11.55,,, that's pretty damn good. https://mbworld.org/forums/w212-amg/...lion-tune.html , Another read https://mbworld.org/forums/w212-amg/...ay-sale-3.html

A friend of mine just picked up a 2015 Corvette coupe Z51. Specs show its got 460hp and 465lbs/ft torque. My car is stock(for now). He challenged me to a race but I really don't race and was just curious if we did who would win. I searched the web and find 1/4 mile times ranging from 11.5 to 12.4 @ 116mph. Anyone?

^ the Corvette is an American icon despite what you think......they're easy to mod, not as costly as euro cars and are part of our short history and heritage....and they're faster than you may give them credit for........would it be my first choice? no, but that doesn't mean they're POS'

the Vette crew is always the most prominent and C&C's too(in my area).....they arrive before everyone else and group their cars together too: I admire the unity........anytime I ever tried to get the small Benz crew together.....it never happens lol
I also like the aggressive look of the new stingray with all of it's vents and intakes.......it's a sharp ride.....a buddy of mine has an old beat up SR from the 70's that we went for a ride in the other day, and aside from smelling like a boat, it was a blast to ride in.........super long hood, low to the ground and a nice V8 rumble

^I've heard many mixed reviews about the validity of "IQ" anyway, so I'm not sure if that fits into my personal reasoning, but I suppose it is an interesting bit of statistic's
I was merely commenting with my opinion about the American Corvette
it like the Mustang, are American icons whether 'we' like it or not, and lets not forget the fawks are quick too

2015 Z06 with Z07 Performance Package
I've owned both AMG's and Corvettes. I currently have a new z06. This car makes everything Mercedes makes feel like a Camry. Less than a grand in mods and I'm at low 10's. Not to mention some of the best handling and braking in the world. Stomps 99.9% of German cars with ease. POS. Lol.

my Ferrari or Lambo, makes the Corvette feel like a shopping cart on steroids however more like progesterone. Don't talk about my Ferrari/Lambo on a Mercedes Benz forum however since I came across a thread about a Corvette POS figured I would express my views. Enjoy your shopping cart.
