2016 E63 AMG S SEDAN, 2010 E550 SEDAN
Hahahah this is hilarious. My z06 cost more than your E63. Which one would turn more heads? I have only seen maybe 2 or 3 on the streets, car is very rare. If you are lumping stingrays into this, then I will lump a regular E-class into the AMG. Every other car is an E Class in Orange County. The z06 stops traffic, not a driving session goes by without someone pointing or filming my car, not that I care.
To the other guy, how am I trolling the MB forum? I have been here longer and I have owned and do own a MB.
Before getting the z06 I test drove an E63, CLS63, C63s, and looked at the AMG GTs. It came down to fun factor and sound. I bought a z06 and a 2016 E350. Best of both worlds.

Also, you talk a lot of trash considering you own 2 family sedans and they are both much slower than the cars being discussed. Kindly go back to a thread about taking the kids to soccer practice or going to the farmers market.

I am sure you are over 60 and love the sleeper family sedan thing. It's a cool car, you can scare your grand kids in it.

1/4 mile is about the same. and same trap speed. with 175 less hp.
aroudn the track the z06 might have an advantage at least until its motor quits and overheats and it has to be towed off the track ... while the gt3 continues to lap getting better the harder you push it.
i noticed you didnt respond to my previous question - ask a someone who owns both which they'd rather take to the track? you might not like the answer.

no im not over 60 but im over 30, i dont see how that factors in to anything.
a discount? yeah in 2 years youll get about a 50% discount. lol.
meanwhile i could sell my gt3 for about what i paid for it a year ago.

C7 Z06 is 'very rare'? It is clear that your meaning of 'very rare' and my meaning of 'very rare' is quite skewed. Around here Z06's are NOT rare and a girl will almost always mistake a Stingray for a Z06 so in their eyes they are everywhere! To me, rare is a limited production exotic. I don't think C7 Z fits that category, sir. Please keep in mind that I did not purchase my E63 to turn anyone's head but myself. If I wanted to turn heads, I could have just went and bought an SLS. I also did not want to enjoy the exclusivity of owning a Chevy. It's almost like owning a GTR. Great car, but still a Nissan. When going in for service, how do you like the Chevy Aveo as a loaner. Hehehe!
Besides the point, let us know when your rare cars motor goes kaput. It has been known that many have under 1,000 miles. Hopefully GM doesn't need a bailout again!
PS: Does owning a corvette come with a free membership to the AARP club?

Guys, come on. We are comparing apples and oranges here. Mustangs and Camaro's are in its class, corvettes and Hellcats are in another.
Why would E63 owners compare a 2 seater, all fiber glass panels and 2 less doors to the super sport sedan the E63 was built for. The corvettes has what I listed above going for them to make them as fast as they are, but when you add instead of subtracting what sits on the corvettes now, you'll have corvette sedan that compare to a E550?
You can take a $35,000 mustang and super charge it for under $60,000 total to make it faster than a corvette, but does that put it in the same category as a Corvette, no it doesn't.

i thought you were mr.car expert? if you were, you would know msrp of 2015 e63s is 102K (95K non S) and the 2015 c7 z06 is 80K.... you still haven't got the math thing down yet have you?

This is a troll for sure. An e63 better looking than a z06? You forget I've owned both. No one EVER asked for a ride in an e63, no girl ever. Everyone asks for a ride in the z06. E63's are so hot that you can get 15-20k off the sticker with very little negotiation. Try getting any discount on a z06.

That being said, I do like the E63. It's fast, it's just not that fun. It has bland looks the last few years as well. I still like it, I park next to one every night (co-worker).

My sticker was 105k. You are not going to get a discount on a Z07. By your rational I could say that your car starts at 60k because you can get an E350 for that or less. I have the Z07 performance package, plus a 3lz option package. Big difference between a base z06 and a z07. Before you say there isn't just look up the 70-0 stopping distance of the brakes alone. Best ever recorded on a production car. Then check the figure eight numbers. This thread was about performance.
That being said, I do like the E63. It's fast, it's just not that fun. It has bland looks the last few years as well. I still like it, I park next to one every night (co-worker).

And my opinions are based on experience from a friend having a z06 with 07 pack, traded it in in September said it wasn't built well, insanely fast just not top tier build.
Also I didn't rationalize anything, I stated the facts from previous forum info provided by you...but from what you said its the same thing the other way around, the e63 is a e350 with a body kit an larger motor and brakes slapped on, sound familiar? Same situation with a z06 and a c7 corvette, bigger motor, brakes and aero kit...

Enough back and fourth about opinion. Styling is usually subjective but no one, and I mean no one, thinks an E-Class is better looking than a z07. Google them both back to back. How do I know? The Z06/Z07 has been on the cover of every F'ing car magazine for the last year!!! One of the most talked about cars of the year. E63? No covers, no articles, no one cares. It's vanilla, and that is what I like about it. It's basic and its not flashy, has no looks. No girl thinks its anything great, and you will not get 4 chicks to ride in it. My E350 daily driver has the same curb appeal for 53k and is more comfortable. E63 is a sleeper and I get it.

Z06 has been on magazine covers because it is America's car! Freaking Dallas Cowboys get more exposure than any other NFL team in the US. Why? It is sure in the heck not because they're good. i think many nissan gtr owners would disagree with this... its cheaper, way more modification options out there and easier to drive fast with awd and gizmo's, especially on the street

Personally i am not a vet fan, but just stating for what u pay for it, its very good in the right hands.
