How's your GT3 do against it? Oh yeah, not well. I own a Mercedes and a Corvette. You guys just don't keep up with cars. I live next to FJ Mercedes Newport Beach. I run against AMG's all the time, they are a very easy kill for a new Z06.

It seems your IQ may have been effected since you moved to a Vette. You are displaying all the symptoms. That you think build quality of a Vette is anything close to German builds is evidence of that.

Where did I claim the build quality was the same? I daily drive an E Class because it is comfortable as hell and feels like a tank. I was talking about performance. The build quality of the z06 is that of a race car, straight up. It's loud, fun and scary. Go test drive one and tell me it isn't the fastest stock car you have ever been in or driven...

hmmm last time i checked the nurburgring is pretty much the standard for evaluating all around car performance and oddly enough the fastest time of your prized z06 is well below the fastest porsche and lambo.... weird huh?

Not a car guy are you? That's last generation's z06. I am talking about the C7 Z06. The one that the 918 barely beat at VIR 1.5 seconds if I am not mistaken. You die hard German car guys make me laugh, keep thinking you drive the fastest car on the block.

BTW it beat the latest Gt3 by 6 seconds per lap, 6 seconds!!!!

I dont know, just assuming here but think my Aventador or 650S is prob quickest stock car I have been in

You would be assuming. Check out the head to head against the 650s in the new Car and Driver. Same pro driver each car each lap. You will be surprised. The aventador is a straight line only car. No chance on track.

The reason I brought up VIR is because it is America's standard and they both ran the same track with the same driver. There are no more times for Nurburgring due to speed limits because of fatalities, but you knew that because you are an expert.

I am not saying it is a better car, I love all cars. I was saying it was faster. To each their own. I spent 100k$ on a car that will thoroughly embarrass 99.9% of cars.

Such a pointless topic. Why is this even being compared? I'm sure OP was just posting as a relative conversation; however, it has seems to have transitioned to a heated debate when it's not even a reasonable battle.

You guys are comparing a matchbox to a tank. Please keep in mind that the weight differentiation between these two cars is astronomical. Keep in mind which car was built with better design and safety. It's not very comparable.

A Porsche and a Z06 yes. Both are lightweight built for speed and track purposes. But not an AMG; (better yet an E class).

Maybe an SL or SLS of SLR, even then the weight is a huge factor. The Vette weighs ~3500 pounds. E63 weighs ~4700 pounds. I will let the Corvette fanboys figure out the rest. Corvette never has weighed anything through its generations, but it also wouldn't stand up to a collision very well, much less massage your A$$ when your hauling 160+mph.

Let it be. Two completely different cars. IMO Corvette is a broke mans fast car. Don't freak out when you see one every other red light. No exclusivity. If any of us wanted a Z06 I'm sure we could have went and picked one up, but speed isn't everything.

Hahahah this is hilarious. My z06 cost more than your E63. Which one would turn more heads? I have only seen maybe 2 or 3 on the streets, car is very rare. If you are lumping stingrays into this, then I will lump a regular E-class into the AMG. Every other car is an E Class in Orange County. The z06 stops traffic, not a driving session goes by without someone pointing or filming my car, not that I care.

To the other guy, how am I trolling the MB forum? I have been here longer and I have owned and do own a MB.

Before getting the z06 I test drove an E63, CLS63, C63s, and looked at the AMG GTs. It came down to fun factor and sound. I bought a z06 and a 2016 E350. Best of both worlds.
