Hello. New to this forum but i thought i'd ask a few questions as i just put a deposit down on a 2016 E63 S AMG Wagon.
So I was wondering if anyone has ordered the Magno Cashmere White Exterior? I've got a few days until the order is locked and was wondering whether to stick with polar white or go with the Designo white. Unfortunately the dealership doesn't have any vehicles in stock with the Designo color for me to look at. I am going with the night package on the exterior if that makes any difference.
I am picking the designo light brown interior and designo black lacquer trim. I wish there was a designo magno white for me to look at as well, but I hope I can get some advice from the people on this forum.
Also are the wheels staggered on the wagons as well? I have to look for winter tires as i'll receive it in february and there will still be snow and a couple more months of winter.
Thanks for the help.

Congrats!
Magno Cashmere white is a matte finish. I think they look great, but they need special cleaners, and you can't polish or wax them.

I have the magno Cashmere white finish on my 2016 e63 wagon.
I just take mine to the touchless car wash and everything seems fine so far.

So I keep reading conflicting reports on the magno paint. Some say it is little maintenance while some say it is much more. That's what is worrying me. I don't want to be paying through the nose for detailing. Originally Posted by rediesel

The dealership also told me it'll be delayed up to another 4 weeks if I go with the magno as it's sent out of the factory to get painted.
I guess I'll have to think about it a bit more.
Thanks

If it were me I'd go with the cardinal red along with interior combo you chose. I think the red with the brown interior looks great. I don't like those Mat finishes myself, plus they stain easily, I like cars that shine much better.
I'm not a fan of red. I think i'm convinced to go with the magno white. From the pictures i've seen in this thread and elsewhere it looks like it'll turn a lot of heads. I can deal with the upkeep. I wash by hand now so it shouldn't be an issue.
Has anyone been able to find winter tires in Canada that aren't pirelli? I want to buy some before the vehicle comes in. I would guess the car would come with summers or some all season which won't be very good in snow.

one more thing to consider is repair - not saying you will get in an accident but you may want to ask how hard it is to match the paint - get the polar white and spend 2500 and wrap it - that way if you don't like it you can peel it off - i love the polar white - ordered it on our 15 GL

That's a valid point. I guess I have to see what my insurance would cover. Getting it wrapped is a good option as well, but how does wrap hold up? Does it peel after time?Originally Posted by baldmike73

I plan on going with the Magno Cashmere on my next vehicle. Get the magno & wrap it in Xpel Stealth film protection. That'll solve any staining or chips; hence not having to worry about color matching. The Magno Cashmere is probably my favorite MB color. I love my Diamond White, but the Magno is aces IMHO.
Sounds like an interesting colour. My 2016 E63S wagon is designo diamond white which I love with beige interior.
For winter tires, I just installed Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 255/35R19 96V's on black aftermarket rims. Total cost was half of what Mercedes wanted for Prielli's and their rims. The Michelin's have rated very high so time will tell...bring on winter!

Would you do the xpel on the entire vehicle or just on the regular 3m areas?Originally Posted by darkgable79

Awesome. I was looking at the Alpin as well. Let us know how they perform. I was also considering a studded option such as the nokian hakka 8. Not sure if that's overkill, but I do spend a lot of my time travelling in the mountains during winter.Originally Posted by Tylbran

Honestly, the whole vehicle. It may be overkill, but it is a 6 figure car with a difficult paint color to match. We have an Xpel store here in Houston & I plan on doing my CLS the whole way.Originally Posted by hotrodwagon

I have the same paint on my 2012...My brother is a chemical engineer and actually developed matte paint clears..he recommends this to me. He says OEMs look to this for good care
