$1500 for the mod, $200 for UPS shipping both ways, 4-5 hours labor and transmission fluid from AMG. I also got the bigger cooling pan which costs another $600, and my total cost including taxes was $3400.

The cost for me is around $1,600 including tax and shipping for the TCU. The installation is as simple as removing the TCU module and send it to Wesitec and once they do what they need to do, it is sent back to you just like ECU upgrade. It cost me only $100 through my dealer friend to do all of this so my total cost was $1,700.
So for car savvy guys, I imange it is pretty simple and straight forward to remove and reinstall the TCU.
I asked my SA manager to take it for a drive before I picked it up to comment what he thought about the TCU responds and he said wow this is how a AMG supposed to shift.

Hey OP. Did you retune your car to the added downpipes. I called weistec for my own knowledge and they said you'll make more power

Just to be clear this not the tcu but full valvebody upgrade, and as joe said it requires draining the transmission and re and re of the whole valvebody, then refill. Car will be idle for a few days. If you had that done for 100 good fir you since the fluid alone is more.

Pho, did you feel a difference in acceleration? Seems like you still got some healthy gains and I'm curious if you felt a difference. I've heard good things about Weistec and was considering their tune myself. Are you planning to take it back to them? Thanks.

Yes, the dealership will charge about $35 per quart for the AMG transmission fluid. If you don't get the Weistec pan, then the car should take 6-7 quarts. With the larger pan, plan on buying 10 quarts and filling to about 9 or just a little bit over 9 quarts.

Yes it is to all. I didn't ask too much question about how it was done since the dealer was the one doing this for me.

Just a update for you guys. Weistec had contacted me and we agree to send my car to their facility and have them look at it further. Will keep you guys posted

I am thinking spark plugs and fuel. The car and tune tends to adapt to fuel quality and adjust timing. If your fuel is bad, or spark is compromised, you will have much less power

When I see a big whp/wtq gap like that on a FI car I immediately think knock. The fact that you did some other mod's like exhaust and DP at same time, you could very well be picking up false knock from a metal/metal rub or loose fit.
It could also be tune related StKnk.
Good luck.

I made an average of 510RWHP with Renntech on a dyno dynamics (~560rwhp on dynojet). Another member with the same standard tune made about 10-15rwhp less than me on the same dyno. Renntech is great, but AMS might be the best

Have your dealer reset your ecu to stock...then re-dyno it...then you will know if you want a retune or refund..

Hey OP, did Weistec figure out what was wrong with your tune?

relooking at the op dyno i did notice a big drop in trq in the higher rpm which obviously affects the HP.... as mentioned earlier that usually indicates knock.
