Brake pads-Semi Metallic or Ceramic?

I was going Ceramic as I was trying to eliminate dust, but from reading up on it, some places say Ceramic is harder on the rotors and some say semi metallic is. What is the easiest on the rotors?

Have you consider Rado dust free brake pads. It's awesome.

Out of my price range, but thanks. I'm thinking metallic pads as I'm reading the ceramics wear the rotors more.

I think I mentioned that I plan on using these http://www.brakeworld.com/Product/Pr...G-2-brake-Pads

My Genesis 4.6 V8 uses ceramic and the oem pads lasted to 130,000 miles. The Rotors are still perfect at 172,000, so a ceramic pad does not necessarily wear out rotors.

I'm just trying to avoid spending 2000 dollars on rotors as long as possible. I'm guessing regardless of what I do I'm only gonna get through one more set of pads before the rotors go so I guess I might as well go ceramic and have somewhat clean wheels.

I have ceramic pads on all my 3 cars, the rotors last longer as less abrasive, you can see the smooth bright part of the rotor here where the pads have not bedded down all over.

Thanks for the picture...to me just shows that there is a lot of unused surface area in the rotor not being used...
How many miles you have on these pads

These ceramic pads have just been fitted to my used rotors, the car has only been I mile so not bedded all over the rotor, just the inner and out band on the disc. They really are much kinder to the rotors, fully bedded in after 20 miles.

New pads and new rotors bed in much quicker, I would never go back to standard horrible pads.
