saw this e63TT today in boca raton, fl while at stop light.... wonder if it was anyones on here? looks like driver took a pretty nasty hit

Yeah, that looks terrible. Hopefully, the driver walked away without any serious injuries, but looks highly doubtful. I actually hope it's no one on here that owns that car.

I agree. Like what I said in my first reply, but if we look at all the photos, fiberglass shatters on the impact and metals bent.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
Hopefully the survival space has been maintained. The B pillar does not appear to be involved in this case. Around 5 years ago, I combed through iihs, nhtsa, and various ncap data on various cars in this class and I found out that W212's structure has the least amount of protrusion into the cabin from a side impact. The difference might not seem like much, but sure will make the difference between surviving or bleed out from a pelvic fracture. Another reason I ended up with the W212 rather than similar offerings from Audi and Bimmer.
