I picked up a '12 E63 after waiting and watching for a bit.... 24,000 miles on the clock. Pretty solid shape.

Got rid of my beloved E55... which was really hard... and now the love affair starts all over again.

I just put some SLR reps on today... the only other things I've done are tint, the grille and the hood emblem (got rid of the upright star).

The only other things I *plan* on doing are blacking out the badges, a tune, a lip, and a diffuser.

We know how that *plan* stuff goes.

Congrats. I have the same car, but with the P30 package. You car came with none factory grillie. You must love the beast.

I actually replaced the grille, the wheels, and the hood emblem... It was all stock when I picked it up. (I always keep all of the original stuff too.... my wife kind of hates that though).

I'm digging it now that I can finally get it to hook up at all... It still had the original tires on it when I got it and I put some new Potenza's on it with the new wheels today.

Since I knew I was going to do a tune at minimum...I wasn't too worried about not having the P30 package. Honestly, I did kind of want the pano even with the extra weight... but finding white with black and the price I wanted with the miles as low... I had to jump on it.

On the older E63's... the P30 package had the same brakes as the regular E63... I wasn't aware they were different. Good to know.

Are they ceramic?

Beautiful...nice car! I'm the opposite, I had to have mine without pano. I had (still have actually) two E55s and the pano is the biggest regret on the second one. And I've read the new panos are just as noisy as the old ones.

If you don't mind me asking, how good was your deal?

Please elaborate on the differences aside from the color.

I'll stay away from pano until technology exists to fuse a lighter material, ie polycarbonate, to metal. IMO, Pano also looks horrible from the outside when opened. The material for the pano's shade just don't block the heat very well.

Yeah, what's with that tee shirt weight shade material now? The sun shines right through it!

Dude... my lowered E55...well... I had to raise it for that reason... And I've got a '65 GS Convertible (inside the garage on a lift) that I had to install air shocks on because the headers hang so low, they scrape.

So far, the 63 is all good. I don't plan on lowering it like I did the 55.

Good eyes... not many people notice that!

Wheels came from here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261975040602

But apparently in the month and a half since I bought them, they've gone up over $1000. No joke. I got my set for $679 (he he! Steal of the century). And I was surprised at the quality and weight (so were the installers) so I'm not surprised the price has gone up like that.

And I'm not sure what amber bulb you're talking about... I haven't replaced any bulbs.

Oh dude no be glad you don't have pano... I'm just waiting for the problems to start

If I didn't have pano, since I like the black roof on white... I would probably do a gloss black high quality vinyl wrap to achieve the same effect

Nice house too!! Love that brick front

Dude... you read my mind... I was already thinking of just doing the black vinyl wrap on the roof!

And thanks on the compliment on the house... gotta love Atlanta's cost of living (this place cost less than a small studio in Chicago - trust me) ...and dirty red clay... because that's what we turn into houses!

Right on! Love those spotlights... Thinking of doing that with led's in the near future ... Really has an elegant look to it compared to just the lanterns

Such a no brainer and easy setup too... the back yard is way better...after I connected the transformer (um... just a plug)... my wife even ran the lines and set the lights. Ours is all older halogen stuff... but I think I can replace the bulbs with LED's if I want to. But... it just works as is. We did LED's for the stuff that's embedded in the deck... but the landscape stuff is still halogen.

If you want any help or direction, pm me. I went through multiple iterations of crap stuff before I figured out exactly what to do. Now that I know and how easy it is, it would pain me to see anyone pay someone to do it. It's a great Sat. afternoon project that really doesn't cost as much people would think.

Whatever you do people... please... do not use that solar powered crap. No. Nope. NO.

And this is an AMG forum so sorry for taking it off track.

Look at the road and track braking feet and you will see the difference. The CB did better of 3 feet vs the red.

Dave, rotors and calipers are exactly the same, just the red paint.
