Yes, it is an option. The cars with the black inserts have the "AMG Night Styling" package.

FYI. It's actually silver inserts if you don't select the AMG Night Styling package. I think the NSP looks great, but wouldn't hesitate if you find a car you like without it. You can always get the trim wrapped by a reputable shop.

The car with the white is not am e63S, it's an E63

Make sure it's not incorrectly badged

(Referring to The bottom pic )

Do you know the differences between a 2014 e63 and 2014 e63S?

the one on the left look like the car i am going to test drive and buy

it also has red calipers. and I will look making sure its AWD...
Can the VIN tell me if it is a real AWD. I will get on the floor and crawl if I have to ...
Is 65k for 14 e63s with 27k too much.

Give us the vin and I'll get you info

Sounds like a decent price -- as always do your homework and negotiate hard

If $65k is asking I would go in at $58k

Looks pretty good.
as mentioned above, the black trim is from the "Night Styling Package."
it's about a $750 option. so it's negligible. it's personal preference.
i believe standard AMG brakes come with red calipers.
the Carbon Ceramics come with "bronze" ish calipers.

Sounds like it has distronic plus and 360 degree camera but i can't tell from the pictures.

good luck!!

Looking at the carfax, it is hard to tell if the differential fluid was changed at 2-2.5K miles. See if they have the service records and if it was serviced in such a way as to not void the warrantee.

Rather not start a new thread and I can't seem so find a specific thread pertaining to this 2k differential change. Google is no help either. How important is this service? Just recently purchased the car and its currently sitting at 11,600 km's or 7208 miles. 2014 E63-S. "A" service was completed at the proper interval so would this diff change be included in that same service? I'd call tomorrow but it being a Sunday my dealership is not open. Could someone tell from a simple VIN check? Any help is appreciated. Cheers.

ask the dealer for the internal VMI report that they keep on cars serviced at any MB dealer. That will show if the diff was changed on time.

Only E63-S needs this diff oil change at 2k miles because of limited slip diff. E63 and regular E series do not need diff oil change ...

This is separate from A service which is at 10k miles or after one year, whichever comes first ...

It is my understanding that the limited slip differential was also optional on the base E63. So if the car has the limited slip differential, the diff fluid is required to be changed at around 2K.

I don't really like the NSP at all, and it seems like most cars were ordered with this $900 option. All of the German brands are offering these silly black out packages now at pretty steep prices. Should be no cost.

To each his own! I personally love the contrast on a lighter colored car. And I would rather the factory offer it as a extra-$ option, rather than not offer it at all. I believe the actual price was $750. That isn't the steepest price when you consider that it includes front fascia, rear valence, side mirrors and door sill. IF you had to buy aftermarket replacement pieces in gloss black, it would cost some multiple of that number.

I agree the AMG Night Package looks great especially on a lighter color. I have Diamond White and I didn't want at first and almost purchased one without and I am so glad I did not get the first car.

Thanks for the heads up on the 2k fluid change.

e63s
Got her booked in for this up and coming Monday. Since its an "out of scheduled maintenance procedure" at the dealership ($240+tax) I purchased her from I will be going to an Indy shop ($115+tax) locally that I've entrusted my other german vehicles to. Just want to make sure that the "Redline 75W140" that they will be using is on par or better than to what a MB dealership would put in. I figure theres a few members who are german/exotic techs that work in the industry could chime in? My indy shop says its fully compatible to my e63S, I just want to make sure and be 100%. Cheers.
