M5 under rated
I didn't like the way the M5 drove and didn't like the interior on the E63.
They are both pretty crazy beasts and can put to shame alot of cars.
M5 feels bigger than E63
M5 sounds worse than E63
M5 DCT is superior to wet clutch
Interior probably is a wash
Brakes are better on E63
looks varies with color , wheels etc
Engine : both are great
handling: very close
just my brief summary from owning both of them
The E63 S is the car that consistently dynos at 520-540 AWHP.
The M5 Comp Package dynos at about 500 HP at the wheels.
Watch the video, here you go again with your fantasyland numbers again.
Interestingly, I have been told the only dyno you can trust is dyno dynamics and they don't have the link to dyno the E63 S. Apparently they need a 60/40 torque split and since the E63 S is a 67/33, they can't do it without software that can do a torque conversion for the dyno. Apparently the software is very expensive and few people have it.
The same dyno guy told me that no two Mustang dynos will dyno the same car with the same HP. He said they are about 50% witchcraft, LOL. He said the most inaccurate is the DynoJets which he said were 100% witchcraft as he put it. LOL

You really are a glutton for punishment. You see one video and you take that as gospel. At least have some intellectual curiosity before you open your mouth (or type). It just makes you look rash, partial and just plain stupid.

Both on AMS dyno, although not on a same day.
527whp for regular m5
522whp regular e63 amg.
541whp for e63s

I'll continue to trust that video of Motor Trend's over your supposed stock dyno runs which I don't buy for a second.
M5s are notoriously tough to dyno as the video says, if the M5 Comp Package dyno'd at 500ish at the wheels on K&N's dyno (guys who know how to dyno); now you're telling me a standard F10 M5 dyno's at 520-540 @ the wheels. You're definitely in M5 fantasyland or on some good crack.

How is it that the 541 WHP number is consistent for the E63 S in the Motor Trend video but the standard F10 M5 is completely off???
We see in the video that the M5 Comp Package dynos at 500ish WHP, but now you're telling me the standard M5 dynos @527 WHP?
By the way, that E63 number is pretty much spot on too.
Yeeeeeaaahhhh...
There is a guy at the end of the thread who thought it was more around 500ish. I could even see 527 for the Comp Package, but not the standard F10 M5.
PS,
Please learn to link.

An other thing came to mind on differences between them that i did not see mentioned but is clear. Its the turbo placement and the fact that the M is twin scroll turbo setup

... even one of the Super Moderators here on mbworld is in on it...since he had a '13 M6 that dynoed 540+whp (same drivetrain):http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=802817
Let's talk fantasyland...like you having your car less than a month and doing all these races against M5's...now that is pure fantasy...unless you are talking about some video game you played..
but its been established by everyone on here that you dont know crap and love to troll
