2010-2011 Mercedes Benz E 63 AMG

Hello all,

I wanted some insight on the 2010-2011 MB E63 AMG model. Where I live they're going for $32K with 50,000 miles and come on... For a 6.3L V8 that's just not bad at all! I wanted some insight on reliability and repair costs. I plan on making a decision in a week but didn't want to make a rash decision. Also the insurance cost. I'm a little young (24) good driving record. I can afford the note and insurance so that's not a problem.

Thanks!!

2010's and some 11's have head stud issues which can be very costly. Especially if the car does not have an extended warranty. I took a gamble on a 2011 with 18K miles and picked up an extended warranty. I absolutely love the car, but with the NA motor, you are limited to tuning. A few little add ons and you make 550hp, but you're pretty much capped out without forced induction or really breaking the motor down. If you really want to make an intelligent decision, go for at least the 2012. Yes, they are more expensive, but they are for good reason. Ultimately, you're looking at very expensive repairs/maintenance. Just a front end brake job is about $2k for parts alone. Good Luck dude!

I love mine and was prepared for the upkeep cost. An e63 is an expensive car to maintain. For example the front brake rotors can cost over $1000.00 each. Cost of services are at luxury levels. So if cost of service is not an issue for you then go for it.

nah cost isn't an issue. I have a 2012 bimmer 5series right now looking to trade up. The sound and power increase will be so worth it.
