What gear have the majority of you used to dyno (biturbo 63) 4th or 5th?

what was the configuration for the AWD reading on the dyno setup?

Proper gear is 5th (1:1 ratio) however you will hit the top speed limiter, so everyone dynos in 4th

sorry to revivle an old thread but just want to confirm what gear to dyno at for a tuned 14+ 63S.

Is it supposed to be 5th but everyone uses 4th or is 4th showing the right numbers?

some of of the new dyno jets go to 200 mph. My car was dynoed in 5th

cool, but IF the car happened to be dynod in 4th gear are the numbers still accurate? Or would they read higher or lower in 5th vs 4th?

Any gear with a higher then 1.1 ratio will always read slighty off. It's hard to explain but for the most part hp will be relative and very accurate using the next closest gear. But peak tq is best measured in 1.1 ratio. With that said because hp is a calculation of tq over time. The best measurement is at 1.1. And with all that said all dyno numbers are really useless. The only thing that ever matters while using a dyno is gains shown. Dyno numbers really mean nothing and should only be measured to show gains or loss.
