Also keep in mind where the used car is in its maintenance life:
costly tires need to be replaced? $1500
brakes and rotors? $2000 oem
service B? $500
brake fluid flush, spark plugs at 60,000 miles? $1000
Lsd oil change at 60,000 miles: $400
(rough estimates)
some would argue just save the cash and buy 2014 and keep the cash on the side for any costly repairs that may come your way... If they don't come your way you just saved that money

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
Peter - great points to consider especially the warranty and CPO status. I'm looking at a nice 2015 E63 AMG S with under 15k miles and CPO for $75k where the dealer agreed to replace all tires with OEM spec, replace rear rotors/pads, complete service B, plus some other minor stuff. There are some cheaper 2015 and 2014's on the market with higher miles and options like Distronic and DVD entertainment but not CPO and close to warranty expiration which makes me nervous. Think this one i'm looking at for $75k and CPO is legit and one to pull trigger on....
