Front window tint
Anyone install window tint on your front windshield? The heat is incredibly hot from my front windshield, and looking to maybe install a light layer to help. Just wondering on any experiences on the E63.
I was looking at 80% max.

i just bought the bullet and got a pair of sunglasses and opted for the E63 model with A/C no issues here where it regularly hits 100s and is 85F in dead of winter

Illegal pretty much everywhere, and will be the first thing brought up in court by the prosecution if you get into a serious accident.

I have 30% on all windows. 20% is just too dark for my liking. Some guys use 30% for front windows and windshield with 20% on the rear windows.
I went with the high thermal performance ceramic film (3M product as I recall). About twice as expensive, but it rejects a lot of heat and has no metallic impregnation to interfere with navi and such.
Here in Cali, you pretty much have to run into a complete a-h*le cop to get written up for 30%. 20% on any front windows though is dicey.
Good luck.

I have tint on the every window (windshield and pano sunroof included). Some crazy expensive UV thermal blocking thing.
Would 100% recommend to get it, especially if you have a pano (and tint the pano)
I notice nothing at night, only during the daytime do I RARELY notice it because it is polarized and my sunglasses are polarized so double polarized makes the clouds/sky really exaggerated if the angles are right.

I had 3M Crystalline 70% installed today on the windshield. Its barely darker, so I like that. Crystalline has 50% TSER rating, which is incredible for such a light shade. Thats what holds the heat out.
I'll take some photos once its dries. Still has the tint haze you get when installing any tint, that should go away over the next day or so.

I have 50% on my windshield and 20% on all windows. Visibility has not been an issue except for in rain, but not horrible either. Just a little bit of glare. Keeps the heat out.

Just don't get into a serious accident and have the other side's attorney find out there is a tint on the windshield.

However, a camera is not going to enhance visual acuity. You might still get grilled by the legal system on your ability to see through the tint.
