CCB questions.

So I am about to make a final call in a car(s) both are identical the only difference is one with CCB and the other with regular.
I am leaning towards the CCB but not sure.
I like to track my cars nothing crazy, just to keep my skills and heart rate going.

Feedback would be appreciated on longevity, performance and feel.
Is there any special process in the breaking? My other cars are ready to play out the door but AMG does not mention anything.

I have CCB, but the track day I was signed up for was just canceled. Hoping ot get to one before the end of the year. I'm happy w/ the CCB, but have no evidence to say that I wouldn't have been happy with the regular brakes.

Performance and feel is great, both for normal street driving as well as very aggressive canyon runs. It doesn't ever get below 50F where I live, so I don't know about cold weather performance. Also, again, I can't definitively state that the regular brakes couldn't have performed just as well.

Did you mean "break in"? Are you purchasing a new car? If so, AMG definitely recommends a break in procedure. It's definitely in the manual and I think I recall a sticker on the windshield as well (though I may be getting confused with my previous M3).

Thanks, not talking about engine but breaks
I have 2 cars with carbon composites, one needed a very precise break "break in" the other did not.

It would be interesting to hear from someone with "longer" term experience on the AMG rotors and pads...

BTW how is the new interface for the iPhone-car play in the 2016?

My car came with CCB's (was a CPO purchase). The performance is phenomenal! I have raced Sonoma raceway and Laguna Seca with the car on stock tires. I had the time of my life. Nothing like going 80MPH into the corkscrew and STANDING on the brakes and knowing you will slow down and make the corner.
I couldn't imagine doing the aggressive braking I did without CCB. Sure, one lap, two laps might be fine. But 30-45 minute session and you will FOR SURE have brake fade.
Every AMG I own going forward will have them if the option is there.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
If you track your cars, IMO stick with steel brakes. Or order a set of Girodisc and put them on when you track.

Ah, you want the break in procedure for the brakes... No, I have not seen one mentioned anywhere (I've read through all of the documentation) and the Euro Delivery guy who specifically told me about the engine break in did not say anything for the brakes. I just followed what I normally do for brakes, which is to slowly increase temperature doing a few repetitive, moderate stops. Not sure if that is necessary for CCBs.

Unfortunately, I still can't find anyone to enable it on my head unit yet.

My car is in the shop all week, but mine has the latest version available for a 2016. It was built in April 2016.
