Sorry, this doesn't have anything to do with 100-200 or 60-124 but I was wondering what the world record for E63S quarter mile is. I was quite sure that it was held by the car with meth in NY, but I've seen a video of a PP Performance one doing 10.36 @ 140mph without launch control, and then another one from a year ago doing 10.12 any views on this? I'm assuming there are issues with the drag strip so the results aren't counted?

that is correct as both of those with 140 traps are at Yas Marina dragstrip which lost its NHRA certification sometime ago ...Times have been debated as legit for a while now since they have not renewed their nhra certificate since 2012 after Middle Eastern members conceded the timing equipment at Yas Marina was off when this was questioned so times arent trusted...

fwiw there was a GLE63s SUV ran 10.9 @ 129mph there so smells funny to me since e/cls63s are having a hard time getting those times

10.5 seconds. 138mp.

Castrol raceway (NHRA certified)
DA 3838

Run by my brother this am. I am working so I could not go.

Factory tires big time traction problems but hook good after 65mph.

DA was better this morning when the run was made but I don't know the exact DA numbers for this morning. Actual elevation I think is 2200 feet.

I suspect that the turbos are not as affected by density altitude as naturally aspirated cars.

The turbos lose some boost when traction control cuts in and there is a bit of lag. There may be 0.2s in there with stickier tires. I don't think I could match the non nhra 10.1.

we are really lacking on quarter mile figures for our cars. Might be worth starting a thread on that so we can see what various setups like ams weistec renntech etc are doing. Preferably runs from the users not the vendors

I know people like to claim turbos aren't affected as much and maybe that's true when they're running 30+ psi but I see pretty damn close to the same losses as n/a cars at our track. About 4/10ths and 4-5mph from 1800ft to 3500ft da.

I think Vasily and e65 would be aware of this, and I think can divulge further, there's a matte grey CLS63 doing vbox verified 100-200 in 3.9 seconds, here's a dashboard view of one of his runs. 0-100kmh looks quicker than 3.2 to me in this video. The car (less hp at the time I'm assuming) did quarter mile in 10.2 last year but wasn't NHRA track I think. The guy also has 1000hp+ GLE63 and 1000hp+ G63.

DESIGNO CLS 63 AMG 2012
Hi guys,

I am adding a killerchiller and meth to my car see if I can get my top end a bit faster through better cooling.

I went to a standing half mile at Race 1000 and my best was a 268.5 kph

I noticed wwhen I did a second run with about 20 minutes waiting in between, the car had gotten so hot, that I would lose about 8-10 kph on the top speed.

my 1/4 is also not all too good, but I did not launch too hard, as mine is a RWD only.

any thoughts?

Here are test runs of Stage 2 CLS63 agains Stock AMG GT-S and Race logic 100-200 runs.

At the end of the video you can see timed 100-200 runs with Race Logic. Looks like current WR for Stock Turbo M157 is 6.0
We did 6.1 with some wheelspin and additional passanger weight. We will be back soon with better tires and no passsanger try to break WR for stock Turbo M157!

I am not sure to be impressed or disappointed that a RWD 840HP car (somewhere in the 700rwhp range I assume) can launch like that with NO traction loss no matter how lazily you lay into the throttle

Shouldnt be a problem with the right tires.

True but not with sidewalls like the video shows. I say this cos I can punch my 730RWTQ from start with traction control full off and get nothing. Will chirp a bit at the top of the first two gears, but that's about it. And it's all from the torque limiters

When you say “get nothing”, do you mean no traction or no wheel spin?
