Heated steering wheel

Hello all

Just wondering what year MB started to put heated steering wheel in the W212? I have a 2012 that I would like to have that option

No heated steering wheel option for any year W212 E63.

According to my owners manual, this was an option for 2014 (E63S Wagon). Not sure about previous model years.

Yes, same here while driving the loaner W212 E350 a few years ago. However, nothing for the E63.

For all the "I can't believe this $100k car doesn't have..." talk, I really do think a heated steering should have been included

Darn... wish I'd known. I've had it in the last couple Rovers (Range and LR4) and in the winter months it is a nice creature comfort.

I'd rather lament no HUD or FLIR night camera... But W213 will have HUD (along with a lot of other goodies).

E63S | X5
I believe you can retrofit a non-amg heated steering wheel but you'll have a standard steering wheel at that point. Unfortunately, a heated wheel doesn't exist for the style wheel in the AMG.

If you were that desperate you could probably find a way to just swap back and forth between them. Granted that is a pain and you lose that sporty wheel in the winter months.

I know what you mean though, I drive an x5 in the winter with the cold weather package that comes with a heated wheel and it is definitely a nice thing to have.

this is really surprising that a $100k+ amg wouldn't even offer a heated steering wheel as an option.

Is it because the heat might cause damage to the suede part of the steering wheel that they don't offer this option?

the summer heat bakes the alcantera way more than heated steering would

its the shape... the e550 heated steering was only available in circular not sport shape steering

i agree its surprising they wouldn't offer this as an option on the E63s. I wonder why as they can certainly create the part in the correct shape for our steering wheel if they wanted to.

Oh well, back to my gloves for now lol

Mercedes
Hi,
Is it possible to swap the 3 spoke FL

to this steering wheel

I heard as long as the button function are the same, it should be PnP.
How about if this version has no paddle shift, can it still be installed (rarely use the pddle shift anyway)

Thanks

Don't know if it helps but a 2013 CL63 has a heated steering wheel. I have a Designo package, not sure that it matters if you just want the wheel. Different look but all the functionality. FWIW

Contact RUCarbon on IG. A member got upgraded steering wheel from them and said it was plug N play. And they have Memorial daay promo, $150 off any wheel.
