Thanks Tremek, I saw in the CarFax it was in an accident but didn't notice the rear bumper, it was a little dirty from sitting out in the rain and snow we've had all week.
The salesperson did send me the window sticker today, the original owner paid $2K for that Bamboo and Auburn Brown leather combo. I do think it looks better outside in natural light than in the pictures online.
He also said they recharged the A/C today and there were no leaks.
They have lowered the price now to to $59K but still $3K over NADA Retail. 4yr / 48K Fidelity Platinum warranty would be $6.1K which I thought was reasonable, probably could negotiate on that $ too.
I will keep searching, maybe go with a 2016 still under warranty as others have suggested.
Also, I see you are a iH8Mud member, we have similar interests in autos, I bought a 2014 LX570 last year and check the 200 series Mud forum daily.

When I was looking for my wagon all over the country for seven months (April through December 2018) one of the first things I learned was the KBB and NADA guide numbers were off by about 20% comparing sedans to wagons. The rarity of the wagon production (10-15% of overall production) and cult status keeps the resale higher. I paid $50k for a used wagon when an identical spec sedan would have cost $40k. It was a hard pill to swallow but I knew I had no desire to own the sedan version so it didn’t matter in the end.

.... and then the trim in it is this absolutely hideous bamboo which clashes with the black dash and dark brown seats.
I really don't think the "hideous" bamboo is that bad , still laugh when I see that quote.:

I have to agree with others....the color combo here is bad to my eyes.
With that being said, its a matter of taste. The price does appear to be very reasonable if you do like the car. FWIW i paid 57.5k for my 2015 e63s wagon in palladium over black with burl walnut trim and 39k miles 6 months ago. I think that price was about as good as it gets, and youre very close here for a car with slightly higher miles and more polarizing interior.
Its up to you but I dont see any reason to avoid the car if you really do like it.

Mine is / will be up for sale soon. Life took a turn (for the better!) in many ways, in a very short period of time, so one of the toys has to go.
2016 E63s Wagon, 19,800 miles, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber interior, night package, disctronic, driver assist package, blind spot, self-parking, touchless tailgate, apple carplay... and so on. It’s basically got all the goodies. Never in accident, no paint work ever. Front has clear bra. Cant call it perfect, but I’d say exterior is 9.8-9.9 out of 10 and same with interior. Goes without saying, kept in a climate controlled garage and maintained meticulously.
Still under factory warranty till Nov.2020, then has CPO will Nov.2021!
Located in NY.

I'd steer clear of this wagon unless it was around $50k... poor interior, reported damage, a number of faults reported here, after market screen, plus if it was a NY/NYC car its driven on horrific roads (crater sized pot holes, snow, salt, etc.) most its life.
For context I picked up a car from Rusnak Mercedes here in CA with the same miles, for the same current asking price, but it was CPO 1-owner, I'd just wait it out, the right one will pop up.

The only other one in my area and within 500 miles is one that's way overpriced, it has the RennTech R1 package, $4K value, so they put the $ at $10K over retail value, normally aftermarket options add anywhere from 0 - 50% value right ? It does only have 28K miles on it..

OK, thanks for the advice, It's just tempting because it's so close, I'll be patient and wait for the right one, definitely willing to travel anywhere to find the right one. It if ever goes down to $50K and they don't send it to auction first then 'Hideous Bamboo' may be worth considering

The modern world makes me a little crazy with the desire to get a "good deal" superceding getting what you actually want. Life is too short to spend your time grousing over a few thousand dollars (especially if you are considering a 60k+ luxury car purchase).

It has been reduced again, now seems like a very reasonable price. what do you think ? Salesperson called me again today saying they really want to move it, has been on the lot for a while.

Got home mid-day yesterday after being forced to overnight in Albuquerque due to this nasty weather system that rolled through. Raton Pass on summer performance tires was not my idea of a good time, but I kept speeds (way) down and was fine. Please excuse the dirt, it's filthy after ~1350 trouble-free miles.

Tires - those of you on 20” wheels, what are you running? I tried to buy 305/25/20 rear and 255/30/20 Michelins Pilot Sport 4s today for the wagon and Discount Tire wouldn’t sell them to me as they said the tires were rated for 97Y and 92Y respectively and the wagon in their system called for at least 98 and 95 weight ratings R/F respectively. They said they would neither sell or mount them. Suggestions appreciated, thanks.

You should buy them from Tire Rack and find another installer.
The load rating for any 20” tire in those sizes is slightly under factory and they are already XL rated. You will have to run 50psi anyway so you don’t bend the wheels so load rating will be roughly the same as factory specs running less psi in the end.

Hey Tremek, did you know we have a TireRack Distribution Center in Denver, in the Stapleton - NorthField area, don't even have to pay shipping and then can find an Independent Installer.

You might also want to check with https://on-sitetires.com/ - they often have very competitive pricing (they were the same price as TireRack for my wagon's tires) and they include installation at your home or business in the price. (Their vans have all the mounting an balancing equipment inside.)

I picked up my '14 CPO in Oregon a few days ago and drove her back to Denver! 52k miles, one owner, no accident reported. I bought her sight unseen for around 58k and she's been amazing so far.

On Friday: ended up going to the Denver TireRack warehouse and picking up 305/25/20 Hanhook Ventus V12 Evo 2s for the wagon and using a local shop to get them mounted.
Met the gents from Hoover Mercedes out at Bandimere, and got to go down the strip 4 times that night (made it out of the first round of bracket racing by actually winning a race, much to my surprise - left lane)
I caught up to the woman in the Mustang driving in the right lane, she slowed down, and I psyched her out and punched it across the line before she could make it, but that's also why the trap speed is way low. I'll take a win on the 3rd time down the strip any way I can get it!
At any rate, was asleep at the light for round 2 (right lane)
But car ran a 12.05 @ 121, leaving off idle (see terrible 60' on both strips) in 7000' DA air isn't too shabby.
I need to figure out how to get it to build boost on the line; 2.2 60' are atrocious and are leaving mid-high 11s on the table on the 91 tune.
