I'm in Denver so the two dealer vehicles are convenient from a location perspective, but SoCal isn't that far and I have a buddy who can check it out. Any thoughts on these cars and what are fair prices? I have read the last 8 months of this thread and have seen the comments on the Mike Ward car. I'm speaking to the owner of the craigslist car this afternoon, I believe he is the second owner. I follow BaT but don't have many other data points for pricing. I appreciate any opinions.
I still think the Mike Ward car is a great deal if you are blind, semi blind, or don't care what your car looks like .
In all seriousness it looks great if the style suits you. I'm not all that familiar with pre facelift pricing, but the pre facelift wagon that just sold for 59.5k on BaT seemed like absolute tippy top of the market for those cars, to me. I was really surprised it went that high.
I was watching that BaT auction hoping for a data point, but I think it was overbought. I might have to check out the Mike Ward car, I like oddball color combos. I am hesitant about the accident and screen mod. Then scope creep occurs and I think why not just get this

It has been reduced again, now seems like a very reasonable price. what do you think ? Salesperson called me again today saying they really want to move it, has been on the lot for a while.
I really don't think the "hideous" bamboo is that bad , still laugh when I see that quote.:
Mtn. Ryan, I think the 2014 Interior with the Bamboo isn't bad at all, especially when you see it in person. And now at $51K and I'm sure you could negotiate a little bit to get to at minimum $50K. Still showing at $52.9 on AutoTrader but has been reduced on CarGurus.
Are you planning to drive it in Denver on snow days or in the mountains in the winter ? Only the 2014's and after are the 4Matic and I was only looking at 2014 - 2016's, my $ range. 2013 and previous are only going to be RWD.

Thanks for confirming that other vehicle is a wagon.
I would drive it year-round, but probably not on multi-day mountain trips in the winter. I know the 2014-later models are AWD, and since I don’t need AWD (have other vehicles) I’m partly trying to determine if the additional cost would be worth it to me.
The wagon at Mercedes of Gilbert is my trade in on a 2019 E63 wagon. The car was very well taken of and I just put new tires on it about 700 miles ago. I am actually quite surprised at their asking price...thought it would be at least $65k and $69k wouldn't have surprised me. I posted the build sheet for my old car.

Wow, thanks for sharing. Does it have rear airbags? I've seen them on build sheets for 2012 and 2013 cars but don't know if they were standard in 2014 or not. Lack of rear airbags would probably be a deal-breaker for me. I wish they'd load some pics...
It doesn't take long for them to sell. I bought my 18 on my first call to the dealer. When I went to pick it up the salesman mentioned he'd gotten a lot of calls. The only reason I won out was I didn't have a trade.
I bought my wagon before the images even popped up online, I had the sales associate walk out there and text me images, I was there 3 hours later signing paper. When I went to pick it up the next day they told me they had 5 people offer to do the same, I just happened to be there first.
Me too. Bought a plane ticket to Portland from So Cal at 2 on a Tuesday before I saw pics and was signing papers Wednesday morning. I had been looking for seven months.
Yes you got to jump
I missed out on a few
Next one I didn't even get in it or drive it I just bought it. Factory warranty, CPO, added max warranty. You gotta be quick and if you are waiting for a colour ... God help you
Also I kept missing the advertised ones, and, the advertised ones were usually crappy. I cold called dealers to find mine and snap it up before it hit any ads.

That was what I did too. First time I drove it I'd already signed all the paperwork and the purchase was done.
Ah yes, how quickly one forgets. Several years ago I was an active follower of the E55 wagon for sale thread. I remember how quickly those vehicles would go. Buyers would be ready to acquire when vehicles hit the market. To the point above, if a buyer is looking for a specific color or option code and one pops up, you better move fast.
I got caught looking at the 2012 for several weeks, after some casual craigslist surfing. Which then lead to evaluating several other vehicles, and finally every 2012+ AMG wagon in the country for under $65k. I almost went to local dealers each of the past 2 weekends because I've never driven or even looked at one in person, in order to evaluate the family-friendliness of one.
At this point I think I'm done considering. I'll keep my money in my pocket and be happy with what I have. But I'll probably keep looking at the thread just in case...

What about the 2014 e63 Denver, still considering it ? I also had never driven or even seen up-close an e63 Wagon and I went and looked at this one when it was just listed at $62K in early June. The sales guy Dan T. was great, ask for him if you go, I drove it and was awesome, everything I expected an e63 AMG would be. Knowing there was no way a McClaren was in my $ range, he still wanted to show me the McClaren showroom since I was there and said I'd never seen one up close either, then looked at the Maserati's, really good guy, no pressure at all.
Ultimately I ended up going with a New 2018 Jag XF SportBrake (Wagon) that was sitting on the dealer lot for 1.5 years, paid what I could've got a 2015, maybe 2016 e63 Wagon for. No one and I mean no one wanted a Jag Wagon except me I guess and a few others. Already added a 2-year extended warranty so I'm covered for 7 years. Hey, this is a thread for Wagons
