It's rather pricey, but I didn't want the hitch to be visible 100% of the time.
I'm in the USA, so the wagon isn't rate to tow at all, while the Euro versions are said to be rated at ~4800lbs. Thankfully, none of my other cars weigh more than 2800lbs, so I'll never exceed the E63S curb weight with this trailer.
Angryscotsman,
Could you share pics of what trimming might have been needed on the rear splitter? I checked out the install instructions but would be interested in seeing the AMG specific instead of e350 rear bumper cover mods.
I’ve started reading this thread, some good info.
im targeting the e63 wagon as my next car.
has anyone had any luck with a third party warranty on these in the last year? If so who have you used for the warranty and what did it cost
I paid $3900 for a 3yr/36mo warranty from fidelity in Aug 2018 on a 2014 e63 sedan with 27k miles. It was renntech tuned and lowered so the dealer couldn't/wouldn't CPO it.
I can't speak for how good the warranty service was as I only had the car 4 months before finding a CPO wagon.

In January 2019 I paid $4,600 for 4 yr 48,000 Select Care plan from Century Warranty Services with $250 deductible.
This applies to my 2013 E63 Wagon with 52,000 miles.

Never mind just saw your answer above. Sweet thank you my drag car is 2,800 on the nose. LOL.
I recently purchased fidelity warranty (the most coverage they offered) with a friends and family discount three months ago for a new to me '13 63 wagon with 42k. Its exclusionary, fives years from my purchase of the warranty and for an additional 72k or 75k miles. 6150ish and I pay by the month with the maximum time of credit of two years. I can pay it off as quick as I like, as slow as two years and can get a pro-rated refund or transfer it to the next owner.
I purchased as a piece of mind and have had a positive benefit to every warranty I have ever purchased for a German car. I am a very proactive maintainer and drive my cars hard so it works for me, generally.

It's the same. It's hardly noticeable the trimming you have to do, especially if you're careful and detailed about it. Whenever I move into a newer wagon and remove the hitch, you won't be able to tell the diffuser was cut unless you crawled on your back and looked.

For me the 2016 model year was a big deal because of the (semi) updated Comand system. The forum members recommended Jeff Jackson for extending my CPO past 8/21 and he came in lower than Keenan Mercedes. That being said, Paul Ahr, Keenan MB salesman, was fantastic. Keenan was also great from the CPO standpoint. They replaced one of the wheels and refinished the remaining three. They also resprayed the front and rear bumpers due to minor scratches. 4 wheel alignment, new brakes and rotors etc. This car was purchased sight unseen and they delivered from a service standpoint.
While the W213 is enticing, I prefer to wait 3 years after the introduction of a new model before buying. Manufactures tend to iron out the issues after that time. This car puts a huge smile on my face. Now I just need to find the right aftermarket head up display and I am set.

In 2016 they updated the Comand interface by improving the graphics/menu display compared to previous years. Gives the car a fresher look plus I can have Apple CarPlay. The other reason was to have as long as possible factory warranty/CPO.

Same for my 2016. Congrats on the wagon, looks great. Hope to see it around if you're in the Denver area. Just saw another black one yesterday, we have a disproportionate share here.
