Yes, I spoke with the dealer the day it posted and got about 20 additional pics. It's a little worn, there are pics I shared in this thread.

Did you add additional blackout to your window trim?

No, it’s aluminum trim (not blacked out).

  • Does not have distronic plus (semi-autonomous highway driving). This is nice to have on a long leisurely trip but I wouldn't call it a deal-breaker.
  • Does not have B&O audio. I only listen to podcasts so I don't consider this a deal-breaker either since the H&K system is supposed to be quite good already.
In terms of fair pricing, cargurus.com shows fair price as ~$57k using their real-time market data (based on actual dealer prices): https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/instan...HH7GB2EB065610.

Both the Marin County car and the Palm Spring wagon are palladium silver.. It's a really boring color unless it's a Gullwing.

The Marin car is red unless there's another car I'm unaware of.

Palladium is not my favorite color, but I don't like black/black. I'm looking for a dry-climate CPO car, and the Palm Springs car fits that, so few of these pop up I'm trying to follow 'beggars can't be choosers' perspective.

my bad, I meant the beaverton, OR car that was just sold was also silver. there's a '18 wagon lease take over for $1800/mo but it only has 500mi/mo allotment lol. kid soccer alone takes up 500mi/mo but the buy out at 65K in 2022 is very enticing.

And the Palm Springs car is sold. I think I would have bought it with a bit more time.

As others have mentioned, due to the fact that these cars do not sit long.. I would have the following in order when you are looking:
  • Desired Color Criteria
  • Must-Have Options
  • Your price range for what you are willing to pay

That way its a matter of jumping on the car as soon as they pop, assuming it is in good condition and checks the boxes above.

If you wait for the opinion of the forum each time - it will make your search that much more difficult.

It took me a year to find my desired color combo with a standard sunroof. And that was a sedan, not a wagon.

Best of luck with your search.

I appreciate the perspective. I've only recently began 'the hunt' and with every vehicle I consider I learn a little more about what is important to me. CPO, condition, color, then options is how I think I'll be evaluating future cars.

Speaking of colors, I would encourage folks to have an open mind. I was always on the fence for the Steel Grey color before I bought my last wagon, and it has really grown on me - I would tell folks to embrace it!
I think sometimes it can look dull in pictures, but if you keep it clean and well waxed, it can really pop, and I appreciate now that it has a different character in the sun vs shade. The only downside I've seen is that it doesn't look great with black wheels/black trim IMO (which is my normal path to take) - not enough contrast when it isn't sunny out. The bronze wheels I think go a long way towards playing off that, I am really happy with the color combo.

Get creative, if you find a perfect wagon and perfect price but not your favorite color, there are lots of ways to play with it's looks!

+1 on the Steel Grey. That was actually the color combo I was targeting. Ended up with Steel Grey and the Mystic Red interior - hard combo to beat.

interesting "renntech'd" '13 wagon on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-Merced...8AAOSwljFeFi-I

I'm not one to buy another person's project car but... that's a lot of HP.

The Palm Springs car didn't sell. I just made an offer of $56.5k. I have some room above that, but don't plan on paying asking if they won't deal. Sales guy said he could do $1k off but wasn't sure if management would do more, he'll let me know in the morning. Didn't seem to have a sense of urgency. We'll see I guess.

$58.0 was my limit, they're at $58.5. I've asked for a tire quote as I'm not comfortable driving back to Denver on what I'm guessing are performance tires. I'm probably a buyer at $58.5 for this car but haven't decided yet.

Decided. Bought it. Dealer ran my credit card to secure it.

Thanks! Excited for a new vehicle, especially this. Looking for new wheels already. Probably too black for me.
